Concerned Citizens are petitioning Iowas Humboldt School District to prevent students from attending the Iowa Safe Schools conference after realizing its more about gay sex than bullying.
The group of concerned parents and citizens in Humboldt believe its a gross misuse of taxpayer money to send students to the conference after several came home disturbed by the graphic, profanity-laced presentations delivered at the event in Altoona this April, WHO TV reports.
The Iowa Governors Conference on LGBTQ Youth April 3 was billed as an anti-bullying summit aimed at fostering understanding and acceptance of LGBTQ youth, but when they arrived they soon learned there was a lot more going on.
There were only two sessions (among the more than 20) that had anything to do with bullying. Its a conference teaching kids how to: how to be confidently homosexual, how to pleasure their gay partners one session even taught transsexual girls how to sew fake testicles into their underwear in order to pass themselves off as boys, one attendee told The Family Leader.
The conference revolved around the narrative that its normal to be homosexual, and speakers shared their personal stories about their trials as gay students and the experience of coming out.
Speakers included one person who wore a dress made of condoms that could be used as needed, and another who shared their experience of finding an orgy online. One session focused on binding girls breasts and using hormone treatments to delay puberty, The Family Leader reports.
The father of a Des Moines senior told the site his daughter was absolutely distraught by the material at the conference and felt bamboozled by organizers who misled attendees about the focus of the event.
She thought she was attending this conference to learn how students can be supportive of their homosexual peers, how they can bring unity to her school. She went thinking it was going to be on bullying, and she wanted to learn how to be more supportive, inclusive and accepting, the father said.
When she got there, it wasnt really on bullying; it was basically a sexual education class for same-sex couples, he said. It was crude. One presenter told students who asked whether anal sex hurt that, as a lesbian, it really depended on how big the device is that their partner straps on.
Several parents expressed concerns about the capstone speaker, a drag performer who goes by Coco Peru.
Peru apparently put on quite an explicative-laden performance and attempted to incite students to vandalism against those who oppose his/her lifestyle.
People suck. They dont give a f about you. People thrive on smashing our pride to the ground. People that suck, f you, was Perus catchy little tune.
The performance ended with advice to students that if they see a bumper sticker that reads Its Adam and Eve for a purpose, they should Reach down inside yourself and give them a blessing then slash their tires!
Other performers at the conference were equally disturbing, the Des Moines father said.
My daughter went to listen to the comedian, Sam Killermann, thinking it would at least be funny, he said. But instead, Killermann explained how pleasurable it is for gay couples to eat each others behinds and how to use different flavors of [oils] to make it taste better.
Its totally unacceptable, above and beyond anything we should have our children subjected to. It was over the line, especially for a conference supported by prominent Iowa businesses.
Bob Vander Platts, president of The Family Leader, told BizPac Review he believes many parents are likely unaware of the conferences content.
If Iowans heard this, Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative, they would be outraged, he said.
The conference was sponsored by the Principal Financial Group, Nationwide, Office Depot, and The TJX Companies, Inc., which owns T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, and Sierra Trading Post, The Family Leader reports.
State Rep. Greg Heartsill sent letters to hundreds of Iowas K-12 educators to request more information about the material presented at the conference, and about two-thirds responded with a variety of opinions, the Newton Daily News reports.
About 10 school districts reported paying for students and staff to attend the conference; either their registration fees, transportation, or both, Heartsill said. Most of the replies provide the information that was requested without commentary. One superintendent that had students attend, said that none of his students/staff found anything objectionable at the conference, and was speculating that the allegations may have been overblown.
Another superintendent, who had students attend, told me that students at one of the breakout sessions reported they were very uncomfortable with the sexually explicit nature of the presentation one student even described it as pornographic and there was enough concern to warrant a teacher leaving a different breakout session to observe the session in question.
Humboldt school officials, now facing demands from parents to ban students from attending next years conference, wouldnt make any promises.
Superintendent Greg Darling told WHO TV students raised money through a student-run club to attend this years conference, and it will be up to the clubs organizer about whether theyll return in 2016.
We support all clubs in the school that meet the policies and procedures, he said. We are an equal opportunity school and do not discriminate against anyone. We strive to have a positive learning environment in the district but we do not support any group of individuals who uses profanity in presentations.
Meanwhile, Iowa Safe Schools officials are vowing to make next years conference bigger and better than ever, and theyre condemning those who question their methods.
Rep. Heartsills red herring of attacking this Conference and the youth who attend is just plain disturbing at best, Iowa Safe Schools executive director Nate Monson told the Newton Daily News. Iowa Safe Schools does not receive taxpayer funds for this event (there are some cooperate and education-agency sponsors), and Heartsills gross overreach is, frankly, just offensive.
>>All but two of them are prohibited by their Republican Establishment advisers
Uhuh. A lot of that crap oozing out of the worshipers of the Golden Calf/RINO these days.
They’re “conservative” { uhhh } “ but progressive”.
Yea, tell me about it!
If parents don’e get involved and make it their agenda to replace every school board member that allowed this then they are complicit! The board can fire the Superintendent and this needs to happen YESTERDAY!!! A high profile campaign needs to start NOW!
When will conservatives start a really effective boycott? Have I missed it? Hasn’t one been started in Iowa yet? The left does this all the time and it works!!! If anyone has started a boycott of these sponsors, please let me know. I’ll sign up and get others to as well.
Sign me FURIOUS in Texas!!!

Was that the park on 2nd Ave?
That’s because the event was billed as an anti-bullying “safe schools” event. They make it sound like something any decent person or family friendly company must support. Only “haters” and “bullies” would protest a “safe schools” conference.
We need to get videotaped evidence, then publicize to the whole world exactly what it really is that these companies are sponsoring.
This story is not an aberration. This stuff has been going on under the radar in schools for nearly 10 years now. I only became aware of it recently, as my kids are grown. I have time and want to get active on this and work with others..This is a nationwide pedophiles-in-the-schools agenda that is now barreling ahead full steam.
Go to massmike’s FR page, scroll down. Lots of info and old links there.
Read QUEERING ELEMENTARY EDUCATION. This is a must-read. The LGBT agenda for schools is spelled out in conscise, depraved detail. I hated the idea of buying it. Libraries may have, or be persuaded to get, a copy.
massresistance.org and massresistance.com are websites of a bunch of people in Massachusetts. They’ve shone a light on LGBT activities such as the bogus “safe schools” conferences and distributions of gay porno to schoolchildren. They’ve had some high profile successes. They outed Obama’s “safe schools czar” Kevin Jennings (google him) as a bonafide creep and got him fired. These 2 sites are awesome, check them out. Lots of concrete how-to ideas.
One thing we need to do IMO is hassle the sponsors. Get evidence and publicize EXACTLY what it is these companies are sponsoring.
Also, we need to hassle our legislators and school boards at the local level beginning now. Make it clear if they’re not aware of this and actively sponsoring legislation to prohibit it, they’re out.
Please share more ideas.
Might have been, I was fairly young at the time (1963.)

“supportive, inclusive and accepting”...blech. The kind of politically correct garbage that is infesting the minds of our youths and adults alike. Life lesson—not all that glitters is gold.
Tv is saturated with the homo message, parents should have a clue by now.
Oops! I see the Episcopal Church hmmm.
My now dead Senator Ted Kennedy use to bray at the top of his lungs that “I SUPPORT A WOMAN’S RIGHT TO CHOOSE!” But people kept voting for him right up to the end.
Kevin Jennings was a close associate of Harry Hay a proud pedophile and homosexual. Harry Hay founded the Mattachine Society back in the 1950s and was also a member of NAMBLA. He was the father of the homosexual movement. Look it up on Wikipedia and pass it on to everybody.
This child abuse. Some people ought to be going to prison for this.
Oh yeah, Harry Hay. Nancy Pelosi marched proudly next to him in the gay parade, back when she was on the SF Board of Supes. IIRC he was one of the founders of the annual Pride parade, which at first had a pedophile contingent. Harry later had a falling out with other gay leaders who wanted to keep the pedos closeted because they impeded the mainstreaming of homosexuality. Harry lost the fight; the pedos themselves no longer march openly in the parades. However, you’ll often see “twink” contingents—very young, slender, girlish-looking boys with no hair on their chests. Also, light blue (baby blue) and blue candles are part of the gay color code which signifies pedophilia. So Harry’s NAMBLA friend are still very much a presence, if you know how to spot them.
I never heard this about using light blue for pedophiles. I wonder if the other colors of the gay rainbow flag have a significance.
They do, but I don’t remember what they are. Information is readily available on various websites. Light blue is not included on the official rainbow flag, though, and that’s intentional; pedophilia is still officially frowned upon. I read about the light blue when reading about PIE or boychat, or one of those pedo-activist groups. The flag does have a darker blue stripe, though.
There used to be a “bandanna code” where the gays would hang a particular color bandanna out a jeans pocket as a signal of what kind of kinky stuff they preferred. They don’t do this much anymore because they’re out and proud now; no need for secret signals. But the old bandanna code is still on the interwebs; look it up if you’re curious.
