The devil tries to get to whatever resistance it can. Kentucky is a spiritually weird state IMHO. It boasted the (in)famous Edgar Cayce. The name probably comes from the Indian “Dark And Bloody Ground” (it knew a lot of tribal conflicts let alone those with settlers). Tennessee is more bible belt than Kentucky.

Thanks. You probably live a lot closer than I do.

It had been my opinion that the state was more reserved on issues like this.

As their ruling indicates, not as much as I had thought. Your comments seem to verify that.

“The devil tries to get to whatever resistance it can. Kentucky is a spiritually weird state IMHO.”

Before Satan could get this far in Kentucky; he had to have some really fertile ground prepared. That has been done by his minions very effectively in this state and at astounding speed. The major step in preparing for the unholy was to create a majority population that is dependent on the government cesspool for its livelihood. Millions of pill heads, deadbeats, drug pushers and just plain sluggards have jumped on the devil’s bandwagon. The “Christian” churches had a choice. Either stop preaching and teaching Christian principles like hard work, marital fidelity, sobriety, etc, or suffer the loss of revenue and funding for their huge buildings and expensive “outreach” programs that do nothing more than bring in more people who have no intention of repenting of their wrongdoing. Such “feel good” ministries attract those that are only seeking a kind of absolution that they’re not really responsible for what they do. No one is going to dare tell them where they’re going if they don’t repent, least of all a Christian! It’s judgemental.

I now find myself unable to find a church that doesn’t embrace or at least refuse to address the homosexual lifestyle within acceptable driving distance of my home, even though there’s a church on every street and road in the county. I’m saddened and amazed at how fast this has happened. It’s my belief that it started with that old adage; “The devil finds work for idle hands.”

I believe that the time is at hand where all of us will have to choose between accepting The Mark of the Beast or losing our immortal souls trying to save our worldly lives. I’ve already seen some people I know do it, seeming not to realize the gravity of their decision.

If “the government made me do it” was an acceptable excuse for denying our Creator and His Word; then the Apostle Paul never needed to spend one day in prison and Daniel didn’t have to go into the lion’s den. I believe that the separation of the sheep and the goats has begun.
