Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell started a fast-track process Friday on legislation to strip Planned Parenthood of federal funding in the wake of two controversial videos showing officials discussing delivery of fetal parts.
The Republican leader began "Rule 14," which will let the legislation skip the committee process and be placed on the Senate calendar so it can be brought up for a floor vote.
The move comes after Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) slammed McConnell during a blistering floor speech earlier Friday, suggesting the Kentucky Republican wanted to dodge a vote on defunding Planned Parenthood.
"There are a host of amendments that the American people are focused on, things like defunding Planned Parenthood after the gruesome video,” Cruz said. “The majority leader doesn't want to vote on that. That's actually something the American people are focused on."

McConnell’s not doing crap. Rand Paul is the one forcing the issue with Rule 14.
That Mitch is such a swell guy. Implementing agenda 21 as fast as he can. This gives him cover....hmmmm.
McConnell better hustle and get every one of Cruz’ amendments filed or he’s toast.
It’s not “planned parenthood” and it never has been. That’s just a goofy commie lib name they came up with to make the more gullible among us to like them. When you murder your baby, well, that’s not really parenting. A more appropriate name would be The Baby Killing Hoods.
The Turtle’s plan is Kabuki since he wouldn’t attach it to a bill that must be passed (like the Highway Bill).
The Turtle knows that it will be vetoed by Obama.

That is all show. McConnell knows that if it passes the Senate and House, Obama will veto it. And the votes to over ride the veto are not there. Don’t be fooled by this.

We’ll see what shenanigans McConnel will pull now. Planned Parenthood isn’t going down that easy.
