Tchaikovsky: String Quartet in D, Op. 11, Second Movement Leo Tolstoy broke into tears at the first performance of this movement. The whole quartet is wonderful, but the slow movement is a gem. Its been arranged for string orchestra, but it sounds better in its original quartet format.
