Cruz has little exposure, little name recognition, and what exposure he gets is misleading and tends to cast him in a negative light.
The public at large is less politically astute, and dumber than a box of hammers, bless their hearts, they are (mostly) good people, but they are functionally "sheep."
“Cruz has little exposure, little name recognition, and what exposure he gets is misleading and tends to cast him in a negative light.”
No, you are not up on what Cruz has been doing. Maybe you have a job and can’t keep up with him. I don’t have a job [read that as I have no life :o)] so I see and read every day where he is and what he is doing. He has been to many states and had standing ovations every time. That is what he did in Texas to handily beat the Lt. Gov. for the Senate Seat.
He had an excellent campaign strategy in Texas and he has one now. The fist debate is nearly here and I expect his numbers to soar after that.
Cruz has plenty of name recognition and exposure.
The problem, unfortunately, is voters like my mother. She is an intelligent, educated, highly successful woman who believes that moderates are the key to solving today’s problems. Nobody like extremists from either side, she says. She thinks Ted Cruz is an embarrassment.
She has done extensive research on our family history and discovered that she is the ninth grandniece and I am the tenth grandniece of Benjamin Franklin. When I try to talk to her about the vision of our Founding Fathers, she rolls her eyes and snarks that Benjamin Franklin might as well be a cartoon character because the times define the men and such men could not live in these times.
She has many friends and colleagues who think exactly the same way. See the problem?
