Scott Walker keeps talking up Marco Rubio

Scott Walker seems fixated on Marco Rubio.

Wednesday on CNN, the Wisconsin governor *again* suggested Rubio should be his running mate. Walker couched it in terms that his supporters keep on bringing up Rubio’s name. But Walker has done it enough times to suggest it’s something else.

The first mention came in March when a Republican leader in Iowa said Walker to hold him, “if he were the nominee … Rubio would make a terrific running mate."

Now comes the gauzy CNN piece, an interview conducted by Republican pundit S.E. Cupp, who asked about the senators in the GOP primary. Walker, who has stumbled on foreign policy, said agrees with Rubio "a lot of national defense issues."

“So if I write a column that called for a Walker-Rubio ticket," Cupp said, "would that make me really prescient, would that make me sort of like a fortune teller?”

Walker laughed, then replied: “You know, of people who have made suggestions to me, that is probably 90-to-10 the suggestion that people make,” Walker said.

Cupp then asked Walker what band would “play the soundtrack to your life?” Van Halen, Walker said.

Rubio, meantime, is looking forward to seeing Straight Outta Compton.

Even if he does, she wouldn’t be the first beard in political history. There’s just something about him to me that screams “Interior decorator”.

And it would explain his love of Lindsay and caving in on inexplicable leftism.

Precisely!

It’s encouraging that the GOPe is obviously negotiating with Walker for their support.
He’s way more conservative than anyone I ever thought they would support.

It’s discouraging that he seems- at this time- to be giving them too much though. He may negotiate himself out of contention.

“As if the USCOC would allow THAT, much less the GOP.”

I guess if you’re resigned to allowing the COC to run the party, then you’re also resigned to a repeat of 2008 and 2012. Sometimes you need to FIGHT THEM - it will be interesting to see if Walker starts doing that (no sign of it yet), rather than doing what he’s told.

Walker would be foolish to pick anybody with beltway stink on them as a running mate.

Have them. I keep them in my murse.

I’ve been listening to a lot of Death Cab for Cutie but it seems that I’m a more traditional generic male. I was rather upset about it and had a good cry.

I felt fulfilled for a while.

I am. We need to look past saving a party when all but about 5 of it’s members out of 300ish in DC are hard leftists funded by leftist donors when the chips are down. Patton could not overcome those odds. It is nothing bur a waste of resource and effort and only empowers more liberalism.

Oh, Norm, you’re getting in touch with your feminine side! I’m so excited for you.

I wish you luck with the vegan thing...it’s a big change. A friend of mine went vegan and it was as though I’d never seen herbivore.

I knew those pink heels were still on your brain. I just didn’t quite know the REASON.

A Furry costume might go really well with them. Just saying...
