Donald Trump arrived in Laredo at the US border with Mexico today.
Trump met with reporters before his tour of the border. He told reporters the Border Patrol invited him and then backed off because they didn’t want to get involved.
Donald Trump: The reason they invited me was because of the tremendous problem and tremendous crime. And all of the things you’re talking about. So they invited me and then at the last moment, I mean we were virtually in the air, and they said, we can’t get involved. From what I heard on the news and talk shows today, the local Border Patrol honcho in Laredo told the Trump campaign that the local division had been told by their higher ups in Washington to break off the engagement.
I would think that communication was saved by Team Trump and it's probably the evidence they'll present.

Barron was down so Trump offered to cover his expense and buy it from him for $350 million. (trump sold it shortly after at a big profit. Did I say they were friends.
