Moreover, Obama became an Indonesian citizen when he was adopted by his stepfather, thus giving up any right to American citizenship, and there is no evidence that he ever applied again to be an American.

Even if he was legally adopted by his Indonesian stepfather, such an act does not terminate US citizenship. US citizenship can only be renounced by appearing in person at a U.S. consulate or embassy and signing an oath of renunciation. Adoption does not automatically terminate citizenship, and parents cannot renounce the citizenship of their children. Minors seeking to renounce "must demonstrate to a consular officer that they are acting voluntarily and that they fully understand the implications/consequences attendant to the renunciation of U.S. citizenship." Further, any minor who does renounce his citizenship, can have it reinstated upon application within six months of turning 18.

Well, at the time Indonesia did not allow dual citizenship. So his parents had to give up his citizenship. And he was registered, at a private Catholic school, as an Indonesian Muslim.

Further, any minor who does renounce his citizenship, can have it reinstated upon application within six months of turning 18.

True. But there is no sign or record that Obama ever applied to regain his U.S. citizenship.

According to the British Nationality Act of 1948 Barack was born to a British subject and therefore became a British subject at birth. Don't take my word for it you can read right from the Obama campaign!
“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children. Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4, 1982.”
Sneaky....The Kenyan constitution does state that if you do not denounce your other citizenship and sware an oath to Kenya then you citizenship does in fact expire. But they give you a two year grace period so the date Aug 4, 1982 should read Aug 4, 1984. Big deal Greg...Well it is. Enter the British Nationality Act of 1981.
Every person who— (a)under [F105the British Nationality Acts 1981 and 1983][F106or the British Overseas Territories Act 2002] is a British citizen, a [F107British overseas territories citizen] , [F108a British National (Overseas),] a British Overseas citizen or a British subject; or
(b)under any enactment for the time being in force in any country mentioned in Schedule 3 is a citizen of that country, shall have the status of a Commonwealth citizen. The UK was terminating the title of "subject" and replacing it with "Commonwealth Citizen" in this act. So the date above is relevant because the commencement date of the BNA 1981 was Jan 1, 1983 while Obama was still considered a Kenyan Citizen thus being a British Subject then became a "Commonwealth Citizen" of the UK.
We have a Brit in the WH!

Obama needed to be Indonesian citizen to attend the school for mucka-muckas that LoLo Soetero and Stanley Ann Soetero chose for their son. Do you think the hippy communist chick Stanley gave a rap for her son’s American citizenship? All she did as LoLo’s wife was to complain and be contemptuous of having to socialize with American oil execs and their wives as part of LoLo’s position.

Barry needed to take action at age 18 to reclaim his Amerucan citizenship ... And since he was such a flag waving patriot ( Sarc) it’s doubtful to me that he ever did. That is why rumors would say he attended Occidental as an Indonesian and traveled to Pakistan on an Indonesian passport.

If I had to guess the first American passport he obtained was as a Senator who needed a rush job to travel as part of a delegation to Russia. I can just see one of his staffers going over to State Department and demanding they issue the Senator a black passport because he was departing for Moscow that weekend. And I can imagine pulling rank and race worked.
