Trump attacks GOP on Twitter five times as often as he attacks Dems
Washington Examiner ^ | 22 Jul 15 | Gabby Morrongiello

Donald Trump has criticized or mocked conservative candidates, politicians, and pundits nearly five times as often as liberal-leaning folks on his personal Twitter account.

A Washington Examiner analysis of the individuals Trump has mentioned on his Twitter feed — excluding mentions included in retweets or quoted tweets — found that the Republican presidential hopeful strongly prefers to launch attacks against members of his own party on social media.

On June 21, less than a week after launching his presidential bid in New York City, Trump tweeted that GOP strategist Karl Rove "spent $430 million in the [2014 campaign] cycle and didn't win one race." In a separate tweet on the same day, the billionaire businessman called the Fox News contributor and former Bush adviser a "jerk."

Since then, Trump has tweeted a total of 46 negative remarks about Rove and other GOP presidential candidates, politicians, and pundits in comparison to the 10 times he's gone after Democratic candidates, politicians and pundits during that same time frame.

It's an interesting approach. Attack your friends and those close to you. Do the work of the political enemy. Approach politics as SEMPER I. The approach seems to have its True Believers.

The GOP is more damaging to the country because it performs its evil under the false flag of conservatism.

It is no friend to us.

They have a pretty broad interpretation of the word “conservative.”

Why would he do that, after the fine job the GOP has done with its congressional majorities to counter Obama policies?

And after the fine job the GOP has done to include conservatives in its policy-making?

And after the fine job the GOP has done to stand up to, and stand against, liberals and liberalism?

Why, Donald, why?

The GOPe has been attacking Trump and Cruz more than the dems. Wonder why?

It’s interesting. Any conservative now who doesn’t go gaga for Trump isn’t a real conservative in there view. Johnny come lately Trump now determines who is and who isn’t after his many long years of dumping bundles into Democrat campaigns including Hillary’s. Most of them don’t know how far we’ve come with the conservative movement, how small we were 35 years ago, any of the real ideas behind conservatism, or that Putin and Trump are only pretending to believe some of what we believe. It’s amazing.

Democrats don’t vote in the GOP primary. Conservatives already know all the shortcomings of the Dems. The problem is that too many Conservatives still think that putting any Republican in the WH will fix America.

Quite a few of the GOP candidates are the political enemy of conservatism.

Where is that implied? What I think is Trump hates anyone not buying his Semper I campaign. He’ll turn on us with the same vulgar venom. Wait and see. His temperament makes him unsuited to lead.

Don’t get me wrong. I too am upset with the Republicans. I just am not willing to be taken in by the likes of Trump, who is only wanting to ride the passion. In other words, he’s a fraud using these issues, not a principled or convictions conservative. And he’s very new to these positions.
