I find it interesting that one can raise their right hand to take an oath, even put their left hand on a Holy Bible, and what they say is not binding.
Everyone from people taking their oath of citizenship, to joining the military, to becoming President.
It means nothing.
Just the way the Left wants it.
It’s binding as an act within the legal structure. But things not in the oath aren’t necessarily eliminated from the obligation. We could drop the “truth, whole truth and nothing but the truth” from being sworn in and you could still be charged with perjury for lying on the stand. These people have agreed to be US citizens. If you’re a US citizen and in the right age bracket you must register for the draft and serve if you get drafted, whether or not that was in your citizenship oath doesn’t change the fact that those are the rules for US citizens.
