Well, that’s a tricky question. There were Popes that were deposed, but they’re not officially regarded as legitimate Popes, they are called “anti-Popes”.

Of course, it’s very convenient if you can declare someone an “anti-Pope” retroactively. Kind of like annulling a marriage. No need for a divorce if you can just say the marriage wasn’t legitimate to begin with.

Ok. Sounds good. I’m not Catholic so I can’t say anything, other than ask politely, but there are plenty of good Catholics out there. So who’s going to get the ball rolling?

Francis’ election probably wasn’t legitimate, but we’re stuck with him (just as we have been stuck with Obama, who didn’t even meet the basic legal qualifications to be President of the US). But who exactly is going to challenge it now?

This Pope is, in my opinion, an idiot. He’s an ill-intentioned idiot, because he sees the Papacy and the entire world as being all about him, and he will do anything and crush anyone to assert what he sees as his right to do exactly whatever he wants. He’s not an intelligent man, but he is a crafty one - and also a very cruel and ruthless one. ANd sadly, I don’t think there’s any way to remove him.

But I do think the air is running out of his tires; I’ve heard that attendance at things at the Vatican, such as the audiences, is way down and that even in Latin America, the crowds were often very sparse. Nobody wants to be part of his leftist project, and I seriously think a schism is on the way.
