Republican lawmakers but some influential Democrats as well were angry Monday about the Obama administration's decision to have the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) vote on the Iran nuclear deal before Congress has had a chance to accept or reject it.
The unanimous UNSC vote in favor of the Iran Monday deal came just hours after the State Department formally sent the agreement to Congress to be reviewed. Rep. Eliot Engel (NY), the top Democrat on the Foreign Affairs Committee, joined panel Chairman Ed Royce (R-Calif) in a statement that said they were disappointed that the UNSC voted before Congress was able to fully review and act on this agreement.
Regardless of this mornings outcome, Congress will continue to play its role, they added. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) who last week sent a letter along with the committees top Democrat, Sen. Ben Cardin (Md.), asking President Obama to postpone the UN vote also criticized Mondays move.
It is inappropriate to commit the United States to meet certain international obligations without even knowing if Congress and the American people approve or disapprove of the Iran agreement, Corker said. During the review period, members on both sides of the aisle will evaluate the agreement carefully, press the administration for answers and then vote their conscience.

They already are and do.
Really? Are you being serious?
Put it this way, how have the GOP stopped Obama’s complete abrogation of our constitution? He would be in chains if we had true representation! Open borders, amnesty, rampaging feral kids, Christianity becoming illegal in the Military, mainstreaming homosexuality and transgenderism, funding Planned Parenthood, giving money to our enemies, etc...
...and this does not even include Benghazi, IRS Targeting, IRS Emailgate, Hillary Emailgate, Fast and Furious, targeting of Christians (Dinesh D’Sousa). Mark Levin postulated that we have had a coup at the highest levels. I am starting to believe that this is true ;-(

It will take 13 Democrat Senators to put an end to all this. They’re the ones that deserve the heat, along with all the media outlets that cover for this administration. Why not direct the vitriol where it belongs instead of at the GOP all the time? (speaking now not to you particularly, but to all the cynics)
After having themselves making it impossible to disapprove of the agreement.
Dolt!
Good points Jan... these are sad times for the country...
I will still vote republican until a viable third party comes, but yes, perilous times indeed.
