That was what came to my mind, that there was a six year obligation to get beyond draft requirement, at least when I was discharged in 1968.
The old system. I was actually on a draft board for several years in the late 89’s & early 90’s. We only met once a year for training but during Desert Storm it looked like we were going to have to draft physicians and other medical personnel, but we did so well, so quickly that that didn’t happen.
