DALLAS (AP) -- Muslims say they're looking for a place to bury their dead. Locals say it's a plot to gain a foothold in their small rural Texas town.
A proposal to bring a Muslim cemetery to Farmersville has stoked fears among residents who are vehemently trying to convince community leaders to block the project. The sentiment reflects an anti-Muslim distrust that has been brewing over the last year in parts of Texas, most notably 25 miles away in Garland - the scene of a deadly May shooting outside a cartoon contest lampooning the Prophet Muhammad.

Good enough for Osama (if you believe the official story about his burial).
Shoot, I think they just put him on a advisory panel to the president on how to destroy the US even faster...
You realize that “most” Moslems are not in the Middle East, right?
Muslim can’t be buried next nasty unbelievers.
You realize there have been Moslems in the U.S. Since before it was the U.S.?
If they don’t want the cemetery, that’s fine. But some of the comments on this thread are hilariously red neck ignorant.
I knew there were Indians...but Muslims???? I need proof....
Google it.
My goodness, did you think they were all Pilgrims?
“One of the earliest accounts of Islam’s presence in North America dates to 1528, when a Moroccan slave, called Estevanico by his Spanish masters, was shipwrecked near present-day Galveston, Texas.[15] He and four survivors subsequently traveled through much of the American southwest and the Mexican interior before reaching Mexico City.”
Not only was he Muslim, but he was in Texas! [gasp!!!!]
Is that what they call public landfills now?
Does such a ‘presence’ make them natives? I don’t think so. I would think that such a ‘presence’ in no way or reference makes these shipwrecked persons ‘natives’ or ‘immigrants’. I would be interested in authentic Muslim presence before Jefferson’s time. Oil was not bait before the internal combustion machinery craze.
They wouldn’t use it because they would have to walk on it.
Ok. There have been no Muslims in North America until three or four years ago.
I understand the hatred you have for Islam, but your ignorance is just stupefying.
God bless you. Like all of the sheep you will be shorn. And then you will wonder why you are cold.
If that is what interests you, spend a second. Look it up. And then post what you find.
I posted the first known Muslim in America. 1528 is long before the U.S. Was founded. I am pretty confident the next one was here before 2001.
It would be very interesting to review the history of Muslims in the US after Jefferson and I will do that. I would think there were Muslims in the country before 2001. Farrakhan comes to mind. However, the immigration of Muslims into the US in recent years appears way increased disproportionately as does immigration of persons from south of the US mainland borders. Our, at least for me, European forefathers appear to becoming nonentities in US society. I can remember when there were quotas from any direction. Now it seems to me that there are no quotas for certain immigrants.
With that; Islam stands as a seriously Official 'State of Mind'; and it no surprise, that ISIS is enlarging upon that, as these Nazi Islamists claim themselves as the 'Official, Controlling Islamic State' as they slaughter their way across the Middle East. . .and wherever else, their feet - and their hate - can take them per the Islamic 'caliphate agenda'.
Islam, as a 'political system' alone (and it is much more). . .CANNOT be contained under our Constitution; our Laws. . .and it CANNOT be served, under our 'Freedom of Religion'. Islam IS a Foreign Entity. . .a foreign Government' by all it's intents and purposes. Islam flies many flags; and one of these we are promised by the 'best' of Imams; will fly over our White House, or rather, in short time; their White House.
(ISIS has it's own Islamic flag logo, of course, but would offer that any of 'Islam's flags' - unlike like 'our' Confederate Flag - stand as an ultimate threat to whomever it's carriers, cross paths with.)
