YES! Colors and brightness!!!!!!!!
Before the procedure I saw everything with a dull, almost dark, yellow tint but did not realize it because the process of the cataract growth is so slow.
The colors jumped out at me! What a pleasant surprise! ;-)
I've been likening mine to a brownish tint, but your description may be better, and I didn't realize either. When I took the tape off the BLUE jumped out. It was so weird. I wore the sunglasses they sent home with me all evening.
Their office called to see how I was doing and she asked me about double vision. Yes, I had double vision and the upper half was that yellow brownish tint, and the lower words were on a BRIGHT blue background. She said that was normal and the new eye was probably seeing at a tilt....the words were running downhill a bit. I tried to be on the computer a bit, but it was too hard and too many mistakes and preview was a waste of time. LOL!
TV distance is much better, but eyes aren't working together yet. Today, the monitor is the best distance at the best vision. My biggest problem right now is getting the first drop IN my eye.
