I don’t think you understand.
Eid_al-Fitr is the END of Ramadan:

It means “breaking the fast”.
Muslims are supposed to fast from sun up to sun down during Ramadan. This, I recently learned, includes abstaining from all liquids including water as well.
Eid, as you described it, is the celebration that marks the end of Ramadan.
Regardless, my comment was meant to draw attention to the connection between this despicable murder and the supposedly religious celebration that is ongoing. A lot of of these murderous acts have been carried out in connection with Ramadan and other Muslim “holidays”.
In contrast, you do not see Christians celebrating Christmas and Easter by killing people. Christians do not even murder the vile enemies we have surrounding us in society.
Muslims, on the other hand, often kill people who have no involvement whatsoever in anything remotely anti-Muslim.
No, I understand—I meant it’s the start of the Eid holiday. All of my Gulf colleagues had a one-week holiday for Eid.
