US cops say they reacted because Boston bus passengers panicked leading to court appearance for 26-year-old
A 26-year-old metal fan was arrested in Boston, Massachusetts, on Friday, for wearing a fake bullet belt.
Kevin Young was apprehended after he boarded a bus wearing the traditional heavy music fans garb, along with spiked gloves and bracelets.
Hes was charged with unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawfully carrying a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct but the charges were later dropped.
A police report says cops only acted because others on board the bus panicked and called for help claiming Young was carrying a gun.
Boston Police Department report: Officers responded to a call for a person with a gun. The driver had pulled the bus over as passengers began calling 911, when a male suspect boarded the bus with what appeared to be military-grade ammunition strapped around his waist.
The driver stated the passengers were in a panic, fearing that the suspect was about to pull out a weapon.
Kevin Young exited the bus and was stopped by police, at which time it was discovered the ammunition was fake.
Officers say they recovered 69 replica bullets and describe Youngs arm decoration as spiked fighting gloves.
The charges were dropped after prosecutors established that the bullets “could not and were not intended to be fired,” said a spokesman for the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.
When did we become a nation of weenies?
What do you expect from those effeminate parasites who live in Boston? Of course they’d freak out.
The Massachusetts peasant children have gone from protecting threats to their weaponry at Lexington and Concord, to wetting their pants and curling up in a corner to suck their thumbs in the presence of pseudo-weaponry.
So they charged him anyway.
Bunch of p*ssies. God knows I saw every band from Metallica to Death and that’s the least offensive thing you’ll see, even from the most hardcore fans.
Today’s weenies have been trained to be this way with our tax dollars. Doesn’t it make you proud? We, as a nation, are so screwed!
1992
I don’t have much hope.
I hope they questioned him about the possibility that he time travelled to the present from 1983. In any case, bullet belts and spiked Rob Halford gloves show commitment to a music choice. No one can say he is wishy-washy about what he digs anyhow.
Freegards
Me either but I have seen others wearing it at concerts I’ve been to.
Ha! Where can I get one? I doubt hardly anyone here in TX would even notice.
One time in St Paul I was on a transit bus where the driver felt extremely threatened by my Amon Amarth T-shirt. He had the vapors! All metalheads are violent
Judas Priest was all into the leather and a lot of the fans were but I wasn’t.
They did put on a hell of a show.
It’s Boston, so this is not unexpected.
