SF Mayor Ed Lee to Sheriff Mirkarimi: 'Change Sanctuary City Policy,' Notify Feds When Releasing Undocumented, Convicted Felons
The controversy that erupted after an undocumented immigrant shot a young woman at San Francisco's popular Pier 14 earlier this month took a new turn Wednesday when San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee asked the city's sheriff, Ross Mirkarimi, to change the sanctuary city policy — a special protection for undocumented immigrants that has sparked a national immigration debate.
In his letter, Lee urged Mirkarimi to change the policy "in the interest of public safety."
Lee wrote that back in March, Mirkarimi ordered his department to cease all communications with federal immigration authorities regarding "requests for notification" pertaining to undocumented, convicted felons. "I urge you to rescind this policy immediately, in the interest of public safety," Lee said, adding that the city's sanctuary ordinance allowed this.

Way back when everybody was scrambling for some of the Obamabucks stimulus giveaway money, schools in my county wanted a bunch of money for bi lingual teachers because the number of non english speaking students had risen by more than 50% in the last 10 years.

I really would like to know how a guy that was convicted on a Domestic Violence law, thus being in violation of the Lautenberg Amendment, can get the verdict reversed and case expunged.

Mayor Lee controls billions in tax revenue.....local tax revenue, state tax revenue, federal tax revenue. San/Fran is a global tourist destination----the tax take from tourism (added to restaurant and hotel bills) must be in the billions.
THIS ITEM IN THE SAN FRANCISO BOARD OF SUPERVISOR'S SANCTUARY CITY BUDGET REPORT IS A HUGE RED FLAG--- And I quote: "For the first time in fifteen years, the Mayor’s Budget Office did not ask Departments to make any reductions in their budgets. Although the current deficit projections look better than last year, we will still be forced to make difficult decisions to produce a balanced budget."
UT-OH Asking Dept's to reduce budgets? In a world renowned city that is teeming w/ tax revenue? Local revenue. State Revenue. Federal Revenue. Tax revenue from world-wide tourism alone must be in the billions.
Where is all the money going?
FYI---a govt official asking for agency reductions is the very same MO used by the Illinois govt official who stole $80 million tax dollars using a secret bank account to siphon off govt tax revenue.
OPEN THE BOOKS OF SANCTUARY CITY NOW---ACTION PROJECTS---(1) find the banks that handle sanctuary city municipal finances; (2) find sanctuary city insurance carriers; (3) find the number of identities the Steinle killer uses to ride the gravy train; (4) find sanctuary city agencies' fraudulent use of tax dollars.
