TRUMP IS NOT THE PRESIDENT. Did he say anything about Obama?

I thought her parents have been on TV and other media and have full opportunity to state their views if they wish.

This brother as well.

So, this brother apparently thinks he owns his sister.

This is America, Brad. Trump can talk about whatever he wants. If not for Trump, the MSM would have covered this up and most of America would never have known, and you wouldn’t be talking to Anderson Cooper. Your sister’s death would have been ignored.

He can share his political views all he wants just like the rest of us. He doesn’t need Trump to babysit that. As for his sister, it is news. Everyone has an opinion. Brother is just being a bad brother.

Should he call before Obama does, or after?

Might be a long wait...

Unlike most of the cowards in the GOP Trump will probably tell his people to get him on the phone right now and find out what he wants. I would.

Gee, brother of the victim, maybe there is an underlying principle at stake that is more important than what horrible thing has just happened to your sister.

Maybe Trump and we have a right to talk about what happened with or without your permission.

It's not always about you, liberals.

to reach out and ask about our political views and what we want

So I presume this guy, desperately seeking time in the spotlight (though of course I offer sympathy for his loss), disagrees with what Trump is saying ... and instead we should support the "right" of illegal mexicans to be given a repeated opportunity to murder an American

Why else would he even make such an obvious politically-motivated comment in his time of unspeakable grief? His ingratitude toward a person on the national stage -- and I'm not speaking of the president who is busy with other, more trivial matters than the death of an American citizen by a foreign invader -- who expresses anger at the murder of his sister is despicable at best.

Oh. OK.

Then it’s really kind of a good thing that an illegal randomly murdered your sister. Sorry for the inconvenience.

You flaming POS.

Trump probably views this as an opportunity. Contact the brother, express sympathy, acknowledge that brother and he disagree on sanctuary city policy, nobody mistakes Trump's words for brother's sentiment, but if it's okay with brother, Trump will make a point of saying brother disagrees with Trump on sanctuary city, etc.

“If you’re gonna use somebody’s name and sensationalize the death of a beauty young lady,” he said, “maybe you should call and talk to the family first and see what their views are.”

It doesn't work like that.

So if the brother supports illegal immigration, he had his whole life to say so BEFORE his sister was victimized!

Actually- he STILL can support illegal immigration if he wants to and no one will care if he does.

In the mean time, the rest of us may express OUR views on the matter, as well.

The Source says it all. I wonder if they actually interviewed the brother or just scripted their attack first.

Since they lived in CA we pretty much know what their political beliefs are. The sad reality is their political beliefs contributed to their loved ones death. Funny thing about liberals, when unintended consequences happen because of their ideology they want to blame conservatives or Republicans.

Now the media will care about this issue--because a family member of the victim is upset.....at Trump.

Now, what would truly be awesome is if this is a setup by Trump to get this guy on live national TV....and then the guy turns the tables and rips Hussein for not enforcing immigration law.

I could see it now, the guy is asked by Matt Lauer or Diane Sawyer or Scott Pelley, "Why do you think Donald Trump is exploiting your sister's death?"....

And then the guy says, on live tv, "That is the only reason you want me on your channel, is to attack Trump? The person who is really to blame isn't Trump, but your little tin idol Obama--he didn't enforce the border, but swore to do so---and I hope the next person in the White House will fix the mess Obama is leaving."

Trump means to address the reason your sister was killed. Or are your personal politics more important than that?

No mention of Bill O'Reilly and his petitioning of Congress for Kate's Law?

The brother has changed his tune and is different than the parents' reaction. I guess the brother must have got the message that he should attack the messenger rather than SF's sanctuary city policy and tree USG's failure to enforce immigration laws. We all should be outraged by criminal alien crime.

The number of criminal aliens in federal prisons in fiscal year 2010 was about 55,000, and the number of SCAAP criminal alien incarcerations in state prison systems and local jails was about 296,000 in fiscal year 2009 (the most recent data available), and the majority were from Mexico.

The number of criminal aliens in federal prisons increased about 7 percent from about 51,000 in fiscal year 2005 while the number of SCAAP criminal alien incarcerations in state prison systems and local jails increased about 35 percent from about 220,000 in fiscal year 2003. The time period covered by these data vary because they reflect updates since GAO last reported on these issues in 2005. Specifically, in 2005, GAO reported that the percentage of criminal aliens in federal prisons was about 27 percent of the total inmate population from 2001 through 2004.

Based on our random sample, GAO estimates that the criminal aliens had an average of 7 arrests, 65 percent were arrested at least once for an immigration offense, and about 50 percent were arrested at least once for a drug offense. Immigration, drugs, and traffic violations accounted for about 50 percent of arrest offenses.

About 90 percent of the criminal aliens sentenced in federal court in fiscal year 2009 (the most recently available data) were convicted of immigration and drug-related offenses. About 40 percent of individuals convicted as a result of DOJ terrorism-related investigations were aliens.

SCAAP criminal aliens incarcerated in selected state prison systems in Arizona, California, Florida, New York, and Texas were convicted of various offenses in fiscal year 2008 (the most recently available data at the time of GAO's analysis). The highest percentage of convictions for criminal aliens incarcerated in four of these states was for drug-related offenses.Homicide resulted in the most primary offense convictions for SCAAP criminal aliens in the fifth state--New York--in fiscal year 2008.

GAO estimates that costs to incarcerate criminal aliens in federal prisons and SCAAP reimbursements to states and localities ranged from about $1.5 billion to $1.6 billion annually from fiscal years 2005 through 2009; DOJ plans to update its SCAAP methodology for reimbursing states and localities in 2011 to help ensure that it is current and relevant. DOJ developed its reimbursement methodology using analysis conducted by the former Immigration and Naturalization Service in 2000 that was based on 1997 data.

Best practices in cost estimating and assessment of programs call for new data to be continuously collected so it is always relevant and current. During the course of its review, GAO raised questions about the relevancy of the methodology. Thus, DOJ developed plans to update its methodology in 2011 using SCAAP data from 2009 and would like to establish a 3-year update cycle to review the methodology in the future. Doing so could provide additional assurance that DOJ reimburses states and localities for such costs consistent with current trends. In commenting on a draft of this report, DHS and DOJ had no written comments to include in the report.
