Maybe they saw what happened to Baltimore... Parma is a little rural town down in the SE corner of MO, far away from the influence of metropolitan machine politics. I don't think the political dynamics are anything like Baltimore.

This is why after the story INITIALLY got out, was BURIED by the mainstream media.
The story was on the front page of liberal Yahoo! and then...as it became apparent the Democrats were being the racists....it got ignored and not heard from.
Doesn’t fit the template, and very very hard for the media to pretend the Democrats weren’t racist.
Why do you think the media basically IGNORES Tim Scott and Mia Love? Blacks who are conservative Republicans don’t fit their template, and therefore cannot be acknowledged.

I was right then, wasn't I, Trailerpark Badass, about not judging someone's politics based on their skin color?

the town is 2/3 white, 1/3 black and she won by a landslide. ... She is a Republican and a Christian missionary.

Call me Captain Obviousman, but why does a city of 700 some need a police force all of it’s own?

That’s smaller than the population of my subdivision. I guarantee I’d know the houses of the mayor, police chief, police officers, etc.

One has to ask whether this is because the newly elected mayor is a black woman or because her opponent had been mayor for 37 years. That’s right - 37 years.
Maybe those cops and a few others who resigned were worried that their days of stiffing the town of Parma were over. Maybe they were worried about being charged with a few crimes.
I don’t know. Just sayin’ there is more to this story than we have been told.

Just a wild guess, based on recent history: the woman is incompetent and these folks are getting out before they get blamed when everything goes to hell.
Can't say as I blame 'em.
