Employees of one small Missouri town had an extreme reaction when residents elected their first Black female mayor: 80% of the police department quit, along with the city clerk and two other staffers. And, according to the New York Times, no one seems to wants to guess, or even speculate about, the real reason for the mass exodus.
....The city attorney, clerk, and waste water treatment supervisor also resigned with the police officers. ...

Correction: A headline on an earlier version of this post on Facebook mistakenly stated that the entire police force had resigned it was 80%. We apologize for the error.

If that happens, they couldn’t stand out any better if they were painted pink with dayglo orange polka dots! I’m sure they’ll all compost quite nicely...
Book on shelf “How We Cleaned Up Baltimore” by Stephanie C. Rawlings-Blake & Marilyn Mosby ?
You do realize that Byrd is a Republican.
To the current recipients, that is. Her own friends and family will resume sucking at the tit.
For all you MoveOn.org twits reading this, it's not a race thing. It's a corrupt government employee thing.
I truly hope she turns things around and makes her new force a quality organization. But I doubt she will.
Not if some...or any...of the officers were also black.
But...then...dey just be Uncle Toms.
Who da racis' now?
“...the impression I got ... that she’s going to stop the gravy train.”
Mayor of 37 years. I assume a Democrat.
Yeah.
It is amazing how the NY Times is pure distortion, lies and propaganda.
I’m thinking supercharger............
I'm sure they aren't assuming that because she is black she must therefore be a Marxist. That's beyond ridiculous. The website this article appears on links to the New York Times! So of course they want people to think these people all quit because of her skin color. That's the kind of crap those sleaze balls at the Slimes do all the time. I'm sure it had to do with various positions she has on issues.
LOL
German Shepherd named Blondie, no doubt.
We’re goin’ bowlin’, so don’t lose her in Solon. Moon over Parma tonight.
I've had four black bosses, all a disaster. It really shouldn't matter what color their skin is, but I feel they were put in positions of power solely because of affirmative actions.
One black guy was a nice guy, but spent all his time chasing and having affairs with the white women in the office. I was repeatedly having problems getting him to approve budget item requests because he wasn't attending to business, and the business suffered until he was replaced.
One black woman was plain ignorant and didn't know the business. When a client's server crashed, she was yelling at me to get it up and running in 15 minutes. It wasn't my server to maintain, the admin having left a year before and she never got a replacement admin. I told her it would take two days. She repeatedly screamed at me and belittled me. Finally, because of pressure from above she relented and asked me what was needed. Me, another admin, and an IBM specialist. It took us two days to get the server and RAID arrays rebuilt and restored. She was sweet as can be to me after that, and shortly after resigned.
Another black guy was stealing from clients, overcharging some to handle others. He pulled me in a closet and verbally threatened me with firing to keep my mouth shut in meetings with the clients, who were demanding to know where their money was going. He eventually did try to fire me but I transferred elsewhere, and he was canned within a year.
A bad track record of having black bosses. It ain't like the movies where they're all wonderful (according to Hollywood).
Maybe. But before you jump to conclusions, consider that Tyrus Byrd is a Republican. She won out over a white male Democrat, who had held the Mayor's office for 37 years. By some accounts I've read, there was evidence of a lot of corruption and a "good-old-boy" network within the city administration, and people were fed up with it.
The Byrd Family published the home addresses of some of the :dissidents. [ for some unexplained reason[s]-}
Not a terribly Conservative thing to do to say the very least
They are few and far between. I had one who exemplified servant leadership always asking employees what she could do to make them more successful. Sweet, kind Christian woman along with being smokin’ hot.
Fred Sanford would HAVE to say something about pressing her face in dough to make a certain primate cookie.

I’d be willing to bet there is something else about this mayor that ticked off the police, and it’s probably completely unrelated to the fact that she is black and female.
a necessary update full of interesting facts
I think a great many today are giving deeper consideration to their opinions about blacks. And coming to a much less generous position. It's sad. Blacks have had such opportunity these many decades, but they clung to their victimhood and just sat, while other immigrant races worked hard and succeeded.
