Surveillance video, obtained by Channel 9 shows more than a dozen people stealing weapons from a gun show at the Central Florida Fairgrounds in Orange County over the Fourth of July weekend.
According to Orlando police, nearly 20 guns were taken from one of the gun show booths after the show closed for the day on July 6.
Police said the weapons include handguns and rifles, and those guns are still on the streets.
Channel 9's Kathi Belich learned the group of burglars got into the building through a door on the east end of the main building by smashing the glass after cutting through the chains locking the gate.
Police said about 12 young men raced in, grabbed the guns and fled. They said the burglars were in the building for about 32 seconds.
Belich was told that one of the Florida Highway Patrol officers working security off duty heard glass shattering on the property. She learned that he arrived at the targeted booth a few minutes after the burglars were gone.
Belich also learned that some of those believed to have been involved in the theft may have been caught roaming the fairgrounds property in recent months and banned from returning to the property.
Police would not tell Belich why the public wasn't warned about the stolen guns when the robbery happened. Police would only say that the investigation is continuing.
by several blackish ones and a couple mulattoes..
No, No No!!!!
Perish the thought.
They are simply well-suntanned Amish yout.
Considering how things are going, we all may need to start practicing that.
Could some of those weapons eventually find themselves in this situation?

Let me help identify the perps — I saw “teens”, “youths”, “Obama’s Sons”, “Gentle Giants”, “soon to be freshman college students dreaming of starting class” ...oh, and “Jamal who was not called back after the job interview”, plus a few more I couldn’t identify.
As someone who has been involved in the trade show industry, hiring security is one of the least expensive line items in the budget. Perhaps next time they will hire 2 ...
Oh wait.. They did pull it off.
All your gun shows are belong to them.
If all dealers present had done that, the perps may have been thwarted (time element).
If FFL dealers, they should have make, model, and S/N for the arms, but that doesn't put stock on the table during the show, either.
The TV interview line I always love, as said by the grieving aunt over the body of a dead thug who just won Second Price in a gun fight:
“... and he waf jus startin’ to turn hiss lafe around.”
“I practice my Bad Ass Face at least 2 minutes every other day!”
Just like Travis Bickle?
Great security is.... great.
Was at a Hong Kong jewelry trade show a few years ago. Convention hall with 7 floors.
Spoke to some PLA officer types who spoke rather excellent English. They said PLA had a BATTALION of Light Infantry there. I only saw about 200, AK’s and all, but it was shift work, so more were off-shift.
Felt VERY secure.
Bickle was a pussy!
I hang out with a very mean Glock, Canasta and Shuffleboard crowd.
Seriously, the Brothers do not mess with the oldsters here.
I play flag football in a 65+ league. Probably 70% CCW. Coach in a wheel chair, with a 1911 in his side pouch!
Just a guess; because 20 more guns on the street don't mean squat and doesn't really change anything as far as what the public should or shouldn't be doing.
You had one job...
:)
The police need to monitor local teens on Facebook.
The pose pics will appear like clockwork.
They probably already are.
Geesh, one guard for 2 buildings.
Still think he looked shifty.
More demonization of gun shows to follow.
Maybe that was the point.
Been to this gun show many times. The fairgrounds are adjacent to one of the worst neighborhoods in Orlando.
I’m surprised it hasn’t happened before.
Wonder what vendor got nailed?
