GOP presidential candidates Jeb Bush and Donald Trump are locked in a virtual tie for the 2016 Republican nomination, according to a Reuters-Ipsos poll released Saturday.
It found that 16.1 percent of self-identified Republicans back Bush, the former governor of Florida.
Trump, a New York business mogul, chases Bushs lead with 15.8 percent support.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie came in third 9.5 percent of possible voters backing.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) is next at 8.1 percent, followed by retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson at 7.2 percent.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker widely expected to enter the 2016 field Monday earned 5.8 percent.

It’s like when people around here tell me they’re bilingual.
I want to ask, ‘Oh you speak English?’
Jeb. denial.
Not Jeb is beating Jeb. We just need the field to shake out and someone to really rise to the top. if it’s a muddle like 2012 and everyone gets their moment to rise, we end up with Jeb.
This poll is nearly worthless.
And, I was certain of hat fact when I saw Christie at 9.5%.
Reuters sauces their reporting for Jeb!
Trump is leading! Reuters decided not to report on Independents who vote in GOP primaries!

Trump is leading. Reuters didn’t report that Trump is beating Jeb with Independents.
Trump 14%
Bush 9%

How is Bush anywhere near the top? WTF?
Hard to believe that Cruz doesn’t poll higher.
1.5 in 10. lol mmmmkay.
AP pulling a ‘sleeper’ lie?
Name recognition means a lot. I once heard a political expert say that 1/3 of voters vote on name recognition, 1/3 on ideology and I forget about the rest.
Walker declares on the 16th.
Yeb Bush has promised to turn the country into North Mexico.
16% of GOP voters support that?
It’s clear now that given Trumps lead with Independents, Bush has fallen to 2nd place in New Hampshire.
That’s why NH polling from last weekend is being withheld.
Christie is #2 with independents which means his job is to spoil Trump in New Hampshire. But he’s taking support away from Jeb, not Trump.

Bush is in this as a money raiser and no more. Same for Hillary.
I think Jebbie knows he’s toast and he wants a position in Pres. Donald Trump’s Cabinet....to bad...neither the Cruz/Trump or Trump/Cruz Cabinet is going to give him anything but bird seed....
