That is not why the left is doing it. The Confederate flag represents defiance of totalitarian central authority and Southern heritage. It is a nasty symbol to them and they want to get rid of it. Secession is the thing they fear the most.

They left could care less about slavery and Jim Crow. They would enslave everyone if they could.

In Connecticut, more than 1,300 people signed a petition calling on Yale University to rename Calhoun College, named for John C. Calhoun, a pre-Civil War politician and onetime U.S. vice president who backed slavery.

Somebody refresh my memory on the street name where the AME church is. Could it be Calhoun?
