Homosexuality Has No Genetic Cause

A genetic cause for homosexuality is not scientifically possible. A homosexuality gene, if it existed, would quickly die out. However, it gradually becomes clear that liberals and progressives are poorly-educated about science. They passionately believe in evolution, yet they don’t understand it.

Public discussion is driven by an assumption that one may be “born homosexual.” Being ‘born’ homosexual is a medical impossibility unless there is a specific gene causing it. That is, heterosexuals would have one genetic DNA sequence while homosexuals have a different DNA sequence in its place.

I discovered something debating this topic: One central point simply escapes the understanding of liberal activists. Homosexuality powerfully reduces reproduction. It is a lack of sexual desire for the opposite sex. Any individual who lacks desire to engage in sexual activity that results in children will have dramatically fewer children. Duh.

Robert Oscar Lopez reported on the controversy here Wednesday at www.BarbWire.com, “Yes, Gay is a Choice. Get Over it.” A college professor expressed her opinion in a newspaper editorial that homosexuals can choose to stop being homosexual. The University of Toledo fired Crystal Dixon. Lopez points out how liberals reduce people to the level of animals with no self-control. Lopez also recounts his personal transition from gay man to heterosexual husband celebrating twelve years married to his wife.

Seems like it, but it might be more complex than a single gene.

But what you are missing, what everyone is missing, is that a genetic basis for homosexuality has to START somewhere. Heterosexuality is not just a random trait, but the core engine of reproduction, without which no human race exists. A variation on heterosexuality has to ARISE somehow. So there has to be something that creates an alternate version: A single genetic mutation.

There are bad things that haven’t died out—like juvenile diabetes.

But sexuality is central to reproduction, and therefore to the continuation of the trait. Again, this is what people are missing. Sexuality is not just red hair versus blonde hair. Sexuality is the core engine by which a genetic trait is passed on to a subsequent generation. Without sexuality, the trait dies out when the carrier of the gene dies.

Furthermore, the definition of homosexuality is a reduced or no desire to have reproductive sex with a member of the opposite sex. By definition, homosexuality is a lowered or no desire to engage in sex that passes the person's genes on to a subsequent generation.

It is possible for a carrier of juvenile diabetes to have lots of children. It is not possible for homosexuals to have children at the same rate as the surrounding population, because by definition homosexuality is a sharply reduced interest in sex with the opposite sex.

Even homosexuals married, due to social pressure, to a member of the opposite sex will lack interest -- by definition -- in sexual activity likely to pass their genes on to children.

And there are lots of homosexual animals out there, too.

I think those reports are about as likely to be true as man-made global warming.

Also, we need to distinguish indiscriminate stupidity from an orientation toward the same sex.

A dog will hump your leg. That doesn't mean that dogs are attracted to human legs rather than to female dogs. It just means they will hump anything.

There are genetic predispositions to mental illness. So if homosexual tendencies are some form of mental illness, wouldn’t it be possible that there are genetic predispositions to homosexuality? Just like genetic reasons for an increased risk of schizophrenia?

In any case, it doesn’t mean that homosexual tendencies have to be acted upon.

What about all the cultures that were/are into normalized man-boy/gay type sex while keeping wives or multiple wives? We would look at them all, and rightly so, as sick. But wouldn’t they be passing any hypothetical genetic homosexual predilection on no matter what?

I just read a biography of Montgomery Clift. He was a paternal twin, the other of which was his sister. The biography said that multiple times in his life he wasn’t sure whether he was a boy or a girl. I wonder if a boy being a paternal twin with a girl has greater odds of being homosexual? (I have no opinion one way or the other. Just wonder.)

No. Look beyond the skin. Analyze the entire package. Then ask yourself would you want this woman to be the mother of your children and if she were would you be surprised if they became homosexual.

If predisposition is a result of a combination of genes which have other useful functions, and don’t predispose to homosexuality in other combinations, then I don’t see why it would be eliminated by evolution.

Epigenetic….a plausible theory. Assumedly some lesser affected version of what causes hermaphrodites and overly feminine boys or masculine girls.

There are tests for that which the LBGT gestapo are trying to get banned. The reality that it would constitute a birth defect, rather than a genetic trait, wouldn't work for their cause.

The factors I cited are not exclusive to males.

Not mentioned are possible reasons for homosexuals to exist in the first place, among the strongest reasons being natural selection elimination from the gene pool, of not just homosexuals, but of others that should be eliminated by luring them away from couples that should breed.

This might reach beyond homosexuality, to other things such as prostitution, and women who engage in post-menopausal sex with younger men.
