Actually, I think Home Schooling is what will last. It is fairly obvious that we are headed for a great financial collapse (among other things)...not just here but as a worldwide phenomenon. When (not IF) this happens, we will all pretty much be on our own.

During a statewide recession not all that long ago, the state chapter of the NEA came out with the proclamation that since teaching jobs were recession proof, there should be no downward adjustment of salaries and benefits, such as was occurring in the rest of the sectors...point being, the same principle will be in play, regardless of the depth of the economical downturn, our taxes will not be mitigated...
