The Obama administration unveiled new rules Wednesday to rid the country of racially segregated neighborhoods by directing cities and towns to set goals for reducing segregation, and then regularly report their progress to the feds.
Communities nationwide will be given a series of questions designed to help them figure out whether racial bias is causing segregated neighborhoods, racial or ethnically concentrated areas of poverty, unequal access to opportunity or disproportionate housing needs in their jurisdiction. They will be required to set goals related to that data and publicly report on their progress every three to five years.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development rule is intended to prod communities to meet fair housing standards established in the Fair Housing Act of 1986, by making previously unavailable or unreliable data accessible to the public, which could then use the data as an impetus for change.
The Fair Housing Act requires the government to not only eliminate racial discrimination in housing, but also to encourage racially integrated neighborhoods.
This is the most serious effort that HUD has ever undertaken to do that, HUD Secretary Julian Castro told The Washington Post. I believe that its historic.
HUD will compile the data into a central database where anyone can look at the mapped data and determine what kinds of changes need to happen in their community. HUD will support communities working to integrate and federal dollars will be on the line.

Oh yes exactly. Rich Democrats will demand an exclusion. As long as an Obama tyrant occupies the White House, they will get their exclusion. You watch. Like I said, the real motive is to reshape the districts to gain more power.
“So glad to live in a state that has the lowestblack demographic . This will not be an issue here , because so few”
Don’t worry! They will ship in 100,000 Somalis!
Somalis to right of them,
Libyans to left of them,
Hispanics behind them
Into the Valley of Death road the Honkies
I’m with you on the Cape Cod well wishes. Oddly enough - I just read this article minutes before I read your tag line, a man in a suit near Boston robbed a CVS - wth?

Middle class whites who were much too young to have anything to do with “white flight”? President Obama is not welcome in my home.
During busing in the 60s, it wasn’t wealthy white communities that were hurt. And it won’t be that way today. It’ll be forced on white working class neighborhoods (what’s left of them) and middle-class neighborhoods in suburbia. They local governments will love the money they get to enforce diversity.
Democrats will want 1 out of every 3 children you have with your spouse to be black.
Two thoughts.
1). This is the beginning of the campaign to increase awareness of Julian Castro nationally. His career is being managed so he can be the first Hispanic President in the same way Obama quickly rose from obscurity. Expect him to be Hillary’s running mate in 2016. If not he’ll be running for the top spot in 2020 (assuming Hillary doesn’t serve two terms.
2). The GOP Congress can defund HUD or any of its programs any time it wishes. However the real estate and developer friends of Bush, Boehner, and McConnell siphon billions from the contracts to build the housing. Hence, another Obama decree will be fully funded by the GOP Congress.
It’s Polar Bear Season.
Ever listen the "Red Eye Radio" guys overnight PJ?
They were discussing Gay Marriage prior to the ruling and noted they didn't want due process, they wanted an equal outcome, regardless of where the process went and that is my spin on it post the word outcome.
We have that here again by the bucket load. Nothing against our brethren that for what ever reason aren't living large, but to act like a czar and thrust them upon everyone to equal the outcome?
Instead I ask, where was his call to action for us to go into the cities and teach those willing to get their GED's, partake small business courses, abstinence programs, etc etc etc. Again he had the opportunity to such a uniting force and he blew it again...
In their own way, they are doing that by way of granting refugee status to blacks from northwest africa, Burundi and Somalia. When the refugees arrive, they are made to fill out forms to apply for free gov’t housing. After they complete all the refugee application forms, they are put on buses and relocated to......West Texas, New Mexico, etc.
That program is complimented by federal grants to small towns and cities where by the feds give the City Council extra money if they agree to buy an apt. building, refurbish it and set it aside for refugee relocation. That’s exactly what the City Council of our small SW Texas city did. So now....we’re waiting for the buses to arrive.
I follow the economy very closely and one of the problems the talking heads complain about is persistent weakness in the housing market.
My suspicion is that laws and regulations like this are seriously depressing house buying. For one thing...who wants to get stuck with a 30 year mortgage on a house that might, next year or the year after, be mostly HUD rental neighborhood. That happened to us and we barely got out with our wallets intact.
Smaller Sub-Divisions. Hmmm, Farmer fracters his parcel so that multiple builders are doing 2 or 3 subs instead of one big one, all with 19 homes.
Kinda like Restaurants with 49 employees post Obiongocare...
Let’s start with Martha’s Vineyard and South Hampton good pilot projects
Has he thought it out? Can you imagine the trouble organizing riots if the Black population of any major city was the representative 15%.....
Of course. This way his street army is right next door to all and sundry.
Ok, so how does this work with local and community property taxes? Will our new neighbors be asked to pay their fair share for access to better schools, roads, housing and community amenities?
I can imagine the answer ... So basically now I get taxed out the rear not only to pay their rent, utilities, education, and food .....,I have to now share it with them too.
