Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Wednesday said the nation owes an apology for slavery.
“As a nation — I don’t think as a president, but as a nation — we have got to apologize for slavery,” the 2016 Democratic presidential contender told host Joe Madison on Sirius XM’s “The Black Eagle.”
“As a nation we have got to apologize for slavery, and of course the president is the leader of the nation,” he added.
Sanders said that slavery had caused too much suffering to remain unaddressed.
“Obviously nobody in this generation was involved in slavery,” Sanders said.

You know what, after the African tribes and muslins apologize maybe there can be some discussion, NOT! I seem to recall thousands of lives and billions of dollars having been offered up in regards to slavery in this country. If this was an issue relating to Jews or Christians these people would be telling us to get over it and move on!

Has anyone wondered why we can currently have good relations with Germany and Japan even though we were in a terrible and brutal war with them during my lifetime, but cannot establish a good relationship with the black community when slavery was abolished over 150 years ago?

My Granfather’s Grandfater limped most of his adult life due to a knee injury he suffered during the fight to free the slaves. (Read gunshot wound) His brother was killed. I can find not one of my ancestors born or living south of the Mason Dixon Line from the 1600s to 1959 when my father moved us from Illinois to Arizona. For that mater I can find no evidence of any ancestors voting for the party of slavery. We have been Republicans since John C. Fremont ran for president.
I do believe the Democrats should apologize for slavery. Me and mine don’t!
