BREAKING NEWS: Trading on the New York Stock Exchange was halted around noon Wednesday after officials reported a major technical issue. The computer problem comes a few hours after a major computer issue forced United Airlines to temporarily stop all takeoffs, and the Wall Street Journal confirmed that its website -- WSJ.com -- was experiencing technical difficulties.

United and WSJ is a diversion. NYSE says “we’re going to take our time and understand what happened”. That means FBI is investigating and trying to figure out who made all of the illegal trades. Its about the money... That’s my guess.

Isn’t ISIS a renegade bunch of terrorists. Do they even have high-speed internet yet?
I think its a nation like China or Iran where a cyber attack can come from, not isis.

United, then WSJ, then NYSE. My guess is similar to yours, except not quite a diversion. I’d call it a coordinated strike with two trial runs followed by the real thing - a same-day attack before a patch could be worked out.

I was talking to a broken english Microsoft rep who was telling me my computer was downloading viruses without me knowing it and that he could help. Had a lot of fun with him for about 10 minutes until he finally hung up in disgust.
