WASHINGTON (AP) Worried about "Republican on Republican violence," top party donors are taking action, with one firing off a letter calling for more civility and another seeking to block businessman Donald Trump from the debate stage altogether.
Foster Friess, a Wyoming-based investor and one of the party's top 20 donors in the last presidential contest, issued a letter to 16 White House prospects and the Republican National Committee late last week calling for candidates to stay on the "civility reservation."
"Our candidates will benefit if they all submit to Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment, 'Thou shall not speak ill of a fellow Republican,'" Friess wrote in a copy of the letter sent to Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus and obtained by The Associated Press.

The time for paying attention is now. Not later when the same people will say ‘the time for that was back then’. We have seen this movie before. 2 elections running.
Depends on what social issues or what you consider social issues as most things are social..or societal.
You just let out a string of them in your assault on trumps politics, yet you say they are a waste of time at the moment.
Just tells me you are reacting and not thinking..
At which point he will be toxic as hell because not only will the left be pissed but the ‘right’ that he defrauded with an abandoned run.
Bad.
If you follow the money it will be Bush....but it’s way too early to predict.
The sands could shift under his feet, like they did with Hillary in 2008..
Difficult to say or predict now...but my reaction to it was set in stone some time ago...
I would rather help to push this sick puppy over the cliff now, then elect another republican putz...
So I will, for the first time ever, not go to the polls on election day, if it is a establishment candidate choice once again..
It’s just not gonna happen again..
No,,,noooo....He will have reason to withdraw, which is why I am arguing with you..
He has the money to go all the way, which is the normal reason to withdraw...Trump would leave due to polling..
LOL...
You are way too worried about Mr. Trump.....
That would make sense but for one large detail.
His ego.
He’s older. He has accomplished everything businesswise he really wanted to. Thats why he’s in this to begin with. He CANNOT imply withdraw because then his opposition wins and his legacy, which is what most men o his stature care about, becomes the ‘also ran’ that bailed out.
He may go down. But it will be a scorched earth action all the way down. He does not plan on losing much less quitting.
Donors! Send me your money!
I’ll live with the shame if I’m wrong. We all have to live with the results if I’m not wrong.
Best Idea on the thread ;)
“You just let out a string of them in your assault on trumps politics”
I let out no string of anything.
I’m supporting Trump because of immigration.
Ask him about Carol Browne. She was killed by her boyfriend while waiting for a permit to get a gun. It had already been over 30 days.
Christie has had 2 terms to do something about their terrible gun laws. He’s done nothing.
Now he’s formed a committee to do a study.
Ms. Browne thanks you Governor Christie.
Snark....
Looking back over what I replied to, I messed up and transposed screennames with wrong posts...my bad.
Would have addressed it sooner, but I had to go pick blueberries...:-)
“Would have addressed it sooner, but I had to go pick blueberries...:-)”
I thought that’s what had happened.
I love blueberries. Too hot for them where I live.
Too hot for me is anything over 70......lol
I’m in southeast Arkansas..
Calm??? I WANT RIOTS!!! I am tired of CALM! CALM hasn’t gotten us SH*T!!!
The rats play by schoolyard rules while we get our asses kicked playing by Queensberry Rules, all nice and polite! SCREW THAT!!!
Ted Cruz supports displacing even more American tech workers by raising the H-1B foreign worker limit by 500% right now during a time of massive unemployment.
Ted Cruz wants to bring in 325,000 new foreign workers!
There won’t BE an America anymore with that kind of massive flooding of our country with foreigner workers. That 325,000 adds another 1 million average for their families, too. They also get Green Cards after that H-1B period then citizenship. Toss in the other family members they can bring over, like their elderly parents that then get social security, and you don’t matter to Ted Cruz.
“Im in southeast Arkansas..”
Central Texas here. Triple digit heat I can live with as long as it doesn’t drop below 50 very often lol.
I think it’s the Northeastern syndrome.
I checked your profile-—you’re a Panthers fan, too!
And you think you matter to Trump?
LOL
