WASHINGTON (AP) — Worried about "Republican on Republican violence," top party donors are taking action, with one firing off a letter calling for more civility and another seeking to block businessman Donald Trump from the debate stage altogether.
Foster Friess, a Wyoming-based investor and one of the party's top 20 donors in the last presidential contest, issued a letter to 16 White House prospects and the Republican National Committee late last week calling for candidates to stay on the "civility reservation."
"Our candidates will benefit if they all submit to Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment, 'Thou shall not speak ill of a fellow Republican,'" Friess wrote in a copy of the letter sent to Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus and obtained by The Associated Press.

I like Cruz he is on my acceptable list as is Paul and possibly Carly too, but Cruz is not going anywhere in the polls. That might change and if it does I will support Cruz. However his support of fast tracking TPP/etc have caused me wonder about him. He might very well be a globalist NWO type too. He’s got some bridges to mend there. He is also lacking in real world experience, he has been a dot gov employee just about his entire career and right now a dot gov person is not all that appealing to me.

Cruz “very well might be” a globalist, but Trump is without doubt a Democrat. So you pick the Democrat.

I admire Cruz’s positioning on this. He knows the Trump clown car is going to crash and burn sooner rather than later — but he understands that immigration is a winning issue and he’s positioned perfectly to pick up the pieces when Trump implodes.
And we all know it’s a question of “when”, not “if”.

That was online poll I think.
I believe at the moment Cruz is polling around 8th or 9th nationally and no higher than 4th in Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.
An online poll that required an actual email address and validation with no web bot voting..
All the ‘big’ polls are far less than a 55,000 sample.

I see that as Cruzs major problem. If you’re for him, you’re already for him but his appeal is limited. He’s not likely to get any crossover support. If he were then he’d be getting at least a little bit of traction already.
I think Trump took Teds best issue away from him and is now sucking the air and media coverage out of the room.
Trump was quicker on the draw as Ted could have made these same statements that Trump has made a few months ago.
Now all Ted can really do is watch what Trump does and then say “Me too.”
