Faster, please: A great pushback is awakening here and abroad, but its timing, nature, and future remain mysterious.
Dont stop thinking about tomorrow
Given European socialism, and given its therapeutic culture that assumes morality is relative and situational, it is quite stunning especially to the Greeks that suddenly debts are to mean not endless negotiations, haggling, blame-gaming, and contextualization, but are reduced to something akin to Calvin Coolidges snarky alleged quote, They hired the money, didnt they?
Aside from the threats of Vladimir Putin and the wobbling of the European Union, Europe is being overrun with illegal immigrants from Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Once an impoverished foreign national arrives at any European shore, the European Union, either out of utopian piety or colonial guilt, feels obligated to accept him, without questioning much his legal status or the reasons for his arrival much less why it should not extend such magnanimity to tens of millions of others who may well follow.
But the cash-strapped leftwing European public, outside its privileged elite, is slowly tiring of illegal immigration as well. Apparently it has concluded that tens of millions of illegal migrants neither assimilate quickly nor are much thankful to their hosts for their sanctuary status and that hundreds of millions more would come if they could to enjoy the European welfare state. An aging and shrinking European socialism accepts that its own redistributionist entitlements are not sustainable. But it also assumes that those arriving from the former Third World have neither the interest nor the skills to join the labor force to subsidize their hosts own generous retirement packages.

Well Marine LePen of Front Nationale is gradually increasing her support in France, her and Nigel Farange are the only 2 euro politicians that seem to have a clue. Until she gets in there France will just continue on its downward spiral.
Exactly. I’m all for wide-open borders (save only for a sanity check to block serious diseases and criminals, and to just know who has arrived), _IF_ once here the reality is “to eat, you must work” - no handouts, period (private charity of course excluded). We have room, we have opportunity, IF you will do enough to earn at least enough to get you & yours by. This obviates the need for a fence, extensive border patrol (enough to persuade people to aforementioned checkpoints; criminal/etc sneaks are a military problem), welfare, and a multitude of conflicting laws forming gratuitous loopholes.
I agree with every word you have said on this thread. It is coming and I hope it will hit its crescendo in November, 2016.
That should be the common sentiment on many issues.
You are insane.
But it is that welfare state that 'IS' being promoted in third world countries....thus their 'expectations' are very high when they arrive.... They get here and find they are not so quickly provided for and thus protest and fight, even among themselves as they bring with them their culture differences and conflicts......
They're coming in mass daily..to be shipped to the USA as well
( sigh ) ...Every single day of my FedEx years I had someone begin a conversation with "have you heard about the merger? ,"
I was hoping those days were over.
The firewood is in place. It won't take much to ignite it.
We got lucky over July 4. I suspect that at least part of the reason is that places which could explode had some very lousy weather for the month leading up to the weekend.
There's been a lot of pushback to stop eminent domain excesses.
The Supreme Court's WORST decision isn't getting much publicity. It's that a community's zoning can be over-ridden if it unintentionally causes discrimination. That could ruin every community in the US.
That’s exactly how this place got started & developed, remember.
Things turned pear-shaped when anyone who managed to sneak in started getting free room & board at taxpayer expense.
And I’ll take the invective as a complement.
There’s a FedUp store nearby. Really. Photo I took is buried somewhere, I’ll try to find it.
Is Trump going to repeal eminent domain?
Obamacare?
TPP?
The thousand other things the left is going to pass before Obama leaves office?
Trump gives all kinds of money to Democrats.
But he says he wants to stop illegal immigration?
And for that ONE REASON I should get into the Trump camp?
If I was a liberal Democrat in 2015, I’d be laughing and crapping on everyone too. NO ONE is stopping them from doing anything.
The best the opposition can come up with is a guy who plays to the crowd and says he wants to stop it....
I support Trump for speaking up about things US citizens care about and exposing the political class for what it is. That would be knows no bounds when threatened.
Can someone explain the Coolidge quote to me? Not getting it—
I was unable to find the quote and remember it says "alleged" quote.
I’m for halting ALL immigration. We let 1 million into the country per year and also had out 700,000 green cards to people who never leave.
Don't tell me you that clueless. Green cards are for legal immigrants who become residents. Not visitors. I was a legal immigrant and had a Green card for almost 11 years until I made my citizenship over 38 years ago.
Greece had TWO immigration amnesties. That factors into this mix.
>>> I don’t know about the world, but I am.
Would be nice to have a condensed version of some self-help book from shrinks on the stages of
“beyond fed up”
All/Most of us could learn a thing or two. (Or not)
