Sign Petition: Don't Vote for Jeb Bush
Stand United ^ | July 6, 2015 | James Ballinger

Posted on 07/06/2015 6:39:03 AM PDT by demshateGod

If we elect Jeb Bush to be the nominee for the Republican Party, I will relentlessly and effectively push for a third party candidate in the general election.

This Republican primary will determine the fate of the party. There are millions of Republicans that see this time in our country as a turning point. We have a great opportunity to rally together clearly communicate our message to a generation that has never heard the truths and values that so wonderfully make up the conservative stance. Conservative policies work for everyone. They make life better for us all. However, the average American has never been given the opportunity to hear an honest presentation of our principles. I am 35 years old, been voting since I was 18, and have never been given the opportunity to vote for a conservative in the general election for president.

Party leadership and big doners have bought into the theory that if we simply elect someone in the middle, we will get everyone to the right of them and everyone in the middle, while the democrats are stuck with the far left. That is such a flawed simplistic campaign philosophy. The independents and middle voters are often moved by the passions and ferventcy of a candidate's supporters. The Republicans continue to elect candidates that generate no enthusiasm; therefore they fail to persuaded the middle. The conservatives have no passion, no ferventcy for a candidate who doesn't see why all of the conservative positions are crucial. It is not just about "social issues", it is not just about "economic issues", it is not just "foreign policy"; every issue is tied together. They are all related. They will all crumble as you allow one of them to slip away as we refuse to even give the American people an opportunity to hear a voice in descent of the left leaning media, education system, and the leftist politician. The American people have a natural bent towards conservatism. When given a fair presentation, they will more often than not choose values and freedom. If the country has shifted left, it is only because they have been hearing one side of the argument for decades now.

I for one am tired of the ineffective leadership of our party. I am not working for anyone's campaign, I don't work in politics, I am not a lobbyist, just a fed up conservative. And I view it as my pressing duty to make sure that I have the opportunity to vote for a conservative for president in 2016. If that means we have a third party, we split the vote, and the Democrats win... so be it. I know it would take a few election cycles before a conservative alternative to the Republican party would gain traction. But, at least a message would be heard. And my conscience would be at ease knowing that I am done compromising this country to death.

I still think there is hope in the Republican Party. I am not done with it yet. The average voters of the party are good and conservative. The money and power in the party has just been distracted and misled by the media and the insiders. They are detached from reality. If those in influential positions within the party would back conservatives that will communicate their message, not hide it, we will win.

I have never financially contributed to a presidential candidate before, I have never went door to door, or helped get people registered to vote. But if we elect a true conservative, someone like Ted Cruz, perhaps Ben Carson, or maybe with some strong convincing someone else, I will poor myself into their campaign. I will give financially, I will go to the nearest battle ground state and go door to door, I will give myself for this great country that is hurting and struggling so much. But, if we elect Jeb Bush, I will still give financially, I will still go door to door, but it will instead be against the Republican Party in favor of a conservative alternative third party.

And if your third party vote puts a Democrat in the White House, so be it?

Do you like your Republican party? If not, can we change them if we keep voting for them? Will they ever attempt to represent you if they know you’ll vote for them no matter what? How did we get where we have no party that represents us?

Cycle after cycle of holding our noses. Think about this: the reason conservatives held their noses in 2014 is because the GOP was promising to stop Obamacare and stop his illegal amnesty. Instead, they continued funding Obamacare, funded Obama’s amnesty, and sold our sovereignty through TPP. I’m not sure what the Rats would have done differently. Do you think they would have won in 2014 if they had run on those things?

Anyway, that’s really not the point. The point is we’re heading for a very ugly future, and we should probably try to have some representation before that happens. It just so happens the GOP is ineffective at best, and more likely actively thwarting the conservative agenda. That’s what you’re voting for when you vote for Jeb, Rubio, Huckster, et al.

What choice do I have? Voting for Jeb might put Jeb in the White House. Would Hillery be better? Would Jeb be better? That’s not really the point. What’s better is having a party that will actually represent the people. That won’t happen as long as the big money keeps betting on Bushes and the clapping seals keep clapping.

Yup, lol, what was it? 30 seconds?

This conservative WILL NOT vote for Jeb Bush. I know that’s disappointing to President Dole, President McCain, and President Romney, but I’m done.

Now the lesser evil crowd can call me all the names they want, nothing will change my mind. If it’s Jeb, I will write in Ronald Reagan, that’s my message to the GOP.

I am only asking, based on an assumption that Bush becomes the nominee. - And that if some prefers a quick death to a long messy one.

You made some excellent points, Israel, taxes. So let’s just hope he doesn’t get the nomination.

Keep in mind. A few citizens with guns confronted federal storm troopers and the storm troopers backed down. It may not be a quick death. It may be a rude awakening, but not a quick death. We’re in right now is certainly a slow death.

And anyway, America is already dead. I’m not exactly sure when it died but it is most certainly dead now.

America is not dead. It has been fundamentally transformed, just as dear leader promised. But transformations can go both ways. America is not dead until we are all dead. And we aren’t there yet. Not by a long shot.

There’s no place for reason in these “if I can’t get everything I want, I’ll hold my breath and pound my head on the floor” threads.

Like Souter and Roberts? You show me a Bush who will operate like a conservative, not just run like one and I’ll consider voting for this person, otherwise GHW Bush=Lib. GW Bush=Compassionate conservative Lib. Little Jebbie= flaming leftist.

"There is very little daylight between Jeb and Hillary."

That statement is simply daft.

He sees the (R) and knows it is Party approved. Doesn’t matter if they are flaming leftist they have the (R) so all is well. Doesn’t matter they govern the same as the candidates with (D’s) in front of their name. Those (R) leftists are Party approved and our leftist so it is okay to blindly vote for them. Blind insanity rages on in the GOP...

I’d rather have 9 Roberts’ than 9 Sotomayer but I agree about Souter. I believe he was Sununu’s idea.

I will vote against Hillary regardless of who is facing her.

Me too - I'll vote for whoever the Constitution Party nominates ... or a conservative Republican should one chance to win that nomination.

“That’s pretty important when you remember “we” are the only ones who want to preserve the republic.”

I understand and agree with your disgust with mush fake conservatives. However Hillary will not preserve the republic; she will finish destroying the Constitution, appoint far left Supreme Court Justices with lifetime appointments, finish destroying our education system, set us on the economic road to Greece, and elevate North Korea, Iran and Russia to larger world powers at our expense. We cannot afford to elect an Alinsky clone even if it means voting for Jeb.

I believe she would be playing with fire if she tried to do any of that.
