Defiant Oregon bakers fined $135,000 for their 2013 refusal to make a cake for a lesbian wedding reportedly vow to "fight back" against the state labor commissioner's stiff penalty and are calling on "Christians to take a stand."
"For years, weve heard same-sex marriage will not affect anybody," Aaron Klein, co-owner of Sweet Cakes by Melissa, told The Blaze.
"Im here firsthand to tell everyone in America that it has already impacted people. Christians, get ready to take a stand. Get ready for civil disobedience."
Oregon's Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian on Thursday issued a final ruling in the contentious discrimination case, ordering Klein and his wife and co-owner Melissa Klein to cut a check for the money to Rachel and Laurel Bowman-Cryer for refusing to bake them a cake for their same-sex nuptials.
"This case is not about a wedding cake or a marriage," Avakian wrote, according to The Oregonian.
"It is about a businesss refusal to serve someone because of their sexual orientation. Under Oregon law, that is illegal."
Oregons Equality Act of 2007 prohibits businesses from discriminating based on sexual orientation and other characteristics.
Aaron Klein told The Blaze he's got no intention of taking the order lying down.
"[Avakian] wants to silence anyone who opposes his point of view," Klein told The Blaze.
"Unfortunately, hes doing this with the wrong Christian, because I fight back."
Klein told The Blaze he and his wife will seek a stay in court to delay the order, which he said requires them to immediately pay the couple refused a cake by the bakery. He also said the couple would likely file an appeal.

I heard that only one of the homo couple was in the bakery to get cake services for the wedding. The fine should have been $68,000 for the one person declined service. However, the over zealous prosecutor doubled it to include the other spouse to be. That is what I call persecution rather than prosecution.
That is a warning to those who want to defy them. They will use creative legal antics to persecute those who defy them.
The fine violates the baker’s constitutional rights whether single or double.
Not surprised, a new revolution has started and it is via “civil disobedience.”
This is how revolts start.
You don't want to go there, Brad.
Nothing will start without organization, education and a lot of people all across the nation participating in the network. We need lawyers, guns and money and a hugely aggressive plan and intention. We have to actually financially and spiritually crush anti-Christians and intimidate and punish them for rights violations. Otherwise nothing will happen. This is the way America works now.
Priceless! Thank you, big guy!
Thanks for the ping!
That is some tolerance shown by the loony left. If they are so tolerant why don’t they go to another bakery that will back the cake? Be blessed and follow the strength of your faith to await a fair outcome as it is not over yet
