This whole park is a Confederate memorial. If you dont have the flag here, where on Earth would you put it? Exactly! The flag in SC is also over a confederate memorial. As Haley is term limited she won't pay a price for her role in this stupidity and Graham & Scott were just re-elected but others running for office in the next couple of elections will probably pay dearly if the flag in SC is ultimately removed.

I’ll be boycotting today’s race in Daytona. Two good reasons NBC and nastycar. I’ll be in my shop ‘angrily’ working. Happy quadruple week end.

Some say. Studies say... Some call for.......
The real reason all these nebulous calls, citations and such are discussed like this is because if the SPECIFIC origins of them were clearly identified, the importance of what they are saying would automatically be diminished.
What Person? Who called? Who said?
As for Stone Mountain Park, it is owned by the state of Georgia, and there is a House Legislature, Senate and Governor who have the say on it. Roy Barnes, King Roy thought he’d change the state flag. He did it, but he never got reelected again.

The anti-flaggers have sowed the wind. Now they are about to reap the whirlwind.

I used to live within walking distance of the mountain. The boycott is a great idea, wish we would have had it when I lived there. The Amish won’t show up and it would be a much safer experience. A Confederate flag boycott at Stone Mountain is GOOD News!

Saw a pick up truck like that, with an American and Dixie flag in Camden Maine yesterday. God bless America. (Maine is supposed to be the the 6th most patriotic state.)

I've never owned a Confederate flag. I've never flown a Confederate flag. I think the Civil War was stupid and very avoidable. I think both sides were at fault, but the South more so.
That being said, when the PC crowd declares war on the Confederate flag, it gives me a desire to fly one just to get in their faces.

Fourth of July
That day we honor and praise our Rebel Founding Fathers while damning and condemning our Rebel grandfathers. At least by our ruling class.

There's also a huge carving on the mountain rockface of General Lee mounted on Traveler. It's gonna take a mighty big truckload of load of dynamite to blast that off, but that will probably be the next thing on the list if the Atlanta inner city population wants it off.
There are probably more northernors living in the metro area now days than there are native Georgians. I don't have a problem at all with 99% of them, they're very nice folks that just talk kinda funny, but that 1% gets stuck in my craw now and then.
