In some technical areas, my company doesn't like to train people unless we can get an employment commitment from them. It doesn't do a company any good to spend a lot of time and money training an employee, only to see him walk out the door and go to work for a competitor.
Why, how would that help the RATs guarantee the votes of the global universe of entitlees?
The fact that there is 15%-20% unemployment in the working age population (considering those who dropped out of the workforce, took disability after 2 years unemployed, retired at 55), there is NO need for immigration - there are too many Americans who need work.
Mike Rowe is right - a lot of kids going to college to drop out or get a useless degree would be better off getting a job in the skilled trades - trained faster and paid better.
