Just a small correction! ROFL
Also, I wonder about all of these "survivors" and those who prepare for when the SHTF. From my perspective ALL women are always prepared because they carry everything but the kitchen sink in their luggage!
*OK, I am going to run and hide now! You'll NEVER find me!*
You don’t have to hide. I agree with you!
I also have hand sanitizer and wet-wipes in my “luggage”. Among other life-saving things.

Here is a little known ditty by Alfredo Catalani
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82E1d-2T0qc
The Loyalists managed to get their licks in. New York was a hotbed of Loyalist sentiment because a large number of businessmen believed that the revolutionary cause was bad for business. This was published in a Loyalist newspaper in New York and was sung to the tune of Black Sloven. I could see the men of the Setauket tavern in AMCs series Turn singing this while busily drinking their way into their cups.
I wrote that 10 years ago, before I was a FReeper...before i left that other site! (It is probably one of the reasons I got “banished”)
Here’s one to “A wandering Minstrel, I”. This is in the second act.
An aging hippie, I, a thing of jeans and sandals
Of incense, musk, and candles,
and posters from ‘69.
I play my 33’s on a vintage turntable
I smoke it when i’m able,
I have an accomplished whine!
I have an acom———plished whine!
Have you a protest march for me?
I’ll march with you!
Pow————er to the People!
Give me a sign and I’ll carree
It High for you!
Pow————er to the People!
I’ll take off all my clothes if it will make a point.
I’ll do it for a joint
to share with you
Pow————er to the People!
But if anti-war protests are desired
I’ve anarchistic slogans cut and dried
I’ve had a lot of time since i was fired
And sure could use some money on the side.
I still have a few flags just right for burning
And an old T-Shirt with the face of Che
I think I have an old Molotov Cocktail
To show I’m serious about peace in our day!
(chorus)
We wouldn’t be surprised if he had closets, closets full of bombs
To show he’s serious about peace in our day!
(Tenor)
And if you call for a local parade
That celebrates gay pride
I’ll dress up like a raging queen
A leather boy with a smile serene
(Although I’m not one inside!)
(chorus)
Yo, Ho, He’s a Ho!
Although he’s not one inside.
(tenor)
To shout all day in the broiling sun
Might not be everyone’s taste
But if you want some caterwauling done
And if you have the prerequisite sum
I’ll roll in nuclear waste!
(And I’ll even pretend it’s Fun!)
(chorus)
So jump up on the barricades
We’ve got a ripe one here!
Though his dome is chrome and his hair is grey
Still has his pony tail, in a way!
With a yo heave ho! With a yo heave ho!
With a YO, Bro! Ho Dee Do fo Dee Po Ho Down on Dee Flo!
(tenor)
An aging Hippie, I, a thing of jeans and sandals,
Of incense, musk, and candles,
And posters from ‘69,
And posters fro ‘69.
Unlike Andrew Lloyd Webber, I DON’T steal from Puccini!(LOL)
That scene was from one of my favorite movies (Diva) which I have not seen in years. Gotta update my NF queue.
Quirky film.
Puccini was the Pink Floyd of his day
You have quite a gift.
And a couple of other hippies...
Pinkchinni was the Puke Floyd of his day?
Oh...never mind LOL.
Thank you, Dear FRiend!
I really think he was.
I actually agree with you.
As much as I abhor the politics of Pink Floyd, I DO understand the comparison.
Agreed.
If I hated every liberal that played music the world would be a very quite place.
