I don’t think traditional slavery is brought up to prevent slavery today at all.
There are people who advocate to end the abduction and servitude of White women for instance, but they don’t do this by bringing up traditional slavery.
They simply speak up about the vile nature of it, and ending it.
You don’t hear people today talk about contemporary slavery. That would take the focus off our traditional slavery, and they’ll never do that across the board IMO.
You mean the vast bulk of them. The US was just a bit player in the Slavery Industry.
