He literally claimed Christ said it was OK for homosexuals to sodomize each other? That’s one powerful delusion! It would be better to be a nonbeliever than to claim to be a Christian and endorse sin. He literally claimed Christ said it was OK for homosexuals to sodomize each other? Wow!

Yes! He also stated that the part in Matthew where Christ references the union of a man and woman being one flesh through marriage may have been hearsay. Again, he was a Episcopalian by admission. I don’t believe for a moment that he speaks for all Episcopalians. He did say he sees nothing wrong in having avowed lesbians and gay men in the pulpit. Indeed all members of the LGBT community would be okay with him. He implied that any opposition to these ideas would put one on the wrong side of history. I informed him in the most emphatic terms that I’d opt for being on the wrong side of history.
