In this message, recorded at College Church in Wheaton, Illinois on March 17, 2015, pastor and author Kevin DeYoung addresses a difficult and often controversial topic: what does the Bible really teach about homosexuality?

He is not a hatemonger, he is communicating the truth in love...and if we are going to be the Christians who change the culture, we ought to know the truth and be able to speak it persuasively through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Bump.
Ecclesiastes 4:11
Leviticus 20:13
The first 21 minutes are the exegetical arguments concerning homosexuality.
Then he starts in to answer the objections.
Thanks. Will definitely have a look later.

Sorry...read the context. This is not addressed to Gentiles. The Lev. passage is the Mosaic Law for the Jew, prior to the cross. The Ecc. passage has nothing to do with homosexuality.
There’s always the danger of oversimplifying. Sabbath breaking could also get one stoned in the Mosaic covenant, and nobody wants to paint that as equally evil.
Bump
Leviticus does provide a parenthetical passage that gentile nations got themselves in trouble by acting in that manner. And that is useful information. But this is also a little more than one verse.
People always use the Bible for whatever purpose. The subject was brought up and the Bible used. All I did was provide just two instances where it was considered sin.
Good theology helps if you want to deal with the issue the Lord’s way. That somewhere in God’s plan X was deemed a sin says a lot less than being able to pinpoint an arrow with our name on it.
What’s this all about
What’s this all about
Believe it or no, an Episcopalian told me this morning that sodomy was perfectly in line with the teachings of Christ. Really? Anyway, no surprise to me as they along with the Presbyterian Church (USA) have openly sanctioned and will permit same sex marriages in their churches. Okay by me, I’m a Southern Baptist myself. It’s their business. Another guy at our table has changed from the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) to the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA),a conservative breakaway movement because the PCUSA has sanctioned same sex marriage. Again, no surprise. Isn’t it amazing how Christians themselves are in the vanguard of the movement to destroy Christianity. Malcolm Muggeridge nailed it almost fifty years ago:
“It is, indeed, among Christians themselves that the final decisive assault on Christianity has been mounted; led by the Protestant churches, but with Roman Catholics eagerly, if belatedly, joining in the fray. All they had to show was that when Jesus said His Kingdom was not of this world, He meant that it was. Then, moving on from there, to stand the other basic Christian propositions similarly on their heads. As, that to be carnally minded is life; that it is essential to lay up treasure on earth in the shape of a constantly expanding Gross National Product; that the flesh lusts with the spirit and the spirit with the flesh, so that we can do whatever we have a mind to; that he that loveth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.”
There is something perverse about these developments. The irony being that in a democracy government officials are accountable to the electorate. But here we find ourselves accountable to government officials, i. e., Supreme Court Judges who aren’t elected and not accountable to anyone.
