So you believe that only governments can engage in persecution?

Only government can restrict a persons First Amendment rights to free speech. Trump is free to say whatever he wants and outside of a few, spicific situations there is nothing the government can do to restrict it. But private companies and private individuals are not the government. They can take offense at anything Trump says and are free to retaliate in any legal means they want to. And if that includes ending business deals with him, then so long as they aren't violating some contractual obligation they can do what they want.

Or do you think the government should prevent those private individuals and private companies from doing so?

What passes for the Democrat party today, is actually more of an action network that is very tightly knit.

In this environment, the actual political leaders can send their likes, dislikes, and action plans down the line to those who will hit the streets for them, keeping them distanced from the perpetrator of bad things.

Don’t think the media or “supposed” outraged members of the public are acting on their own. They aren’t.

Strings are being pulled all over the place. Macys, NBC, and other groups aren’t doing the things they are doing by happenstance. They are being given directives. If not from the top, then a concerted effort of the underlings being directed from the top.

The Left is in all out war mode. Our side does nothing like this.

So you may think that government isn’t doing this. You would be wrong in that assumption. The Left’s political class at the highest levels is doing what you seem to think Government isn’t doing.

Yes, but it is.
