I'd much rather have an ideologue as President...

I agree. Besides that, Sanders just might be more in tune with states' rights than is Clinton or many of the 'pubs. The elite are clueless about the appeal of Sanders.

Let me just say that the last thing I’d want is a “socialist” as POTUS. However, unlike Clinton, Sanders actually ran something successfully: the city of Burlington. Have been to Burlington quite a few times, it’s really a great little city. I also think Sanders genuinely cares more about ordinary people than Queen Hillary.

I think many Dems will privately acknowledge that Hillary does not have a great track record. However, they think Bill is around to “prop her up”. That may be so, but as POTUS, she would be under NO obligation to take his advice. And, given their history, she might want to rub his face in it more than a little.

I agree on the GOP dismissing the appeal for Sanders. He should not be underestimated. Nationalism, in various forms, is attractive. Sanders has that to some degree, ie America first type scenarios. Sanders wants to spend money on American work projects, fund health care, reign in financial institutions and such other projects. The GOP had better start paying attention.
