Just today a contact I have on Facebook made a somewhat obtuse comment about having passports. I asked her if she was thinking of moving out of the U.S.

Absolutely. She mentioned another mutual acquaintance who is thinking the same thing.

Chile is worth a look and is one location I’ve been researching. I was sort of shocked that 2 women I know are seriously thinking the same thing. I’ll bet there are hundreds and thousands more.

There could be some serious brain drain happening. Both these women are married to professors. Let the peasants come to America; some serious brain power, and earning power, may be on its way out.

Belize.
Federal Security Construction Mgr I know has met Many clients who have purchased and built homes on Belize.
Checked it out with him in a recent visit.
Belize has 350,000 citizens, and is the only official English speaking country in Central America.
Ocean front lots are available from $60K up.
Infrastructure was good. Low crime rate, except for some bad parts of Belize City. Excellent friendly people.
Great climate. Ridiculously low taxes. Residency after only one year stay. Diver paradise.
San Pedro was a fine island to stay there.
Two Belize dollars for one US dollar - reasonable cost of living.
