NEW YORK — One of the inmates ended up dead and the second was shot and captured by an alert state trooper, but it looks like heads are rolling at the Clinton Correctional Facility, now that the 23-day hunt for two escaped prisoners has ended.
The New York State Department of Corrections is replacing 12 prison employees, including the prison’s superintendent Steven Racette and deputy superintendent Stephen Brown. Racette was seen in a photo (embedded below) with Gov. Andrew Cuomo on June 6, when the daring prison break was discovered.
The DOC sent a statement to PIX11 Investigates Tuesday announcing three members of Clinton’s executive team had been placed on administrative leave along with nine security staff employees “as part of the ongoing review associated with the June 6, 2015 escape from Clinton Correctional Facility.”

I’m surprised they waited this long before the heads started to roll. It could be that a decision was made, whatever we later do with the facility workers has to wait. Our first priority is to capture those two prisoners, who have made Clinton Correctional Facility into a laughingstock from coast to coast.
During the 22 day multi-million dollar search, the group of ‘suspected workers’ has had the luxury of time, time to destroy evidence, time to decide on, coordinate and rehearse their alibi. Somebody is going to slip up and tell the truth. I hope they haven’t been chatting on facebook about what lies they will be telling. All online communication will be checked.
Notice how unconcerned they are about”tainting the jury pool”? WeALREADY have the autopsy and plenty of video yet there are going to be trials...Hmmmmm.
what did they hope to gain. these two weren’t wealthy.
They are throwing the baby out with the bath water with this witchhunt and mass retaliation against the supervisor and his staff. It’s all BS and liberal knee-jerk reaction by the governor and his cronies. The fact that the liberals pushed years ago for women guards and teachers inside the walls has come back to haunt them (in more places than Dannamora), and now they punish innocents who had to deal with their politically correct policies implemented in the worst of all environments.
