The Right Scoop ^ | 6-30-2015 | soopermexican

I kept hearing that he wouldn’t do it and that he’s all bluster, but it looks like Donald Trump has actually filed a lawsuit against Univision for breaking their contract to broadcast the Miss USA pageant after his comments about illegal aliens from Mexico.

-- I know that. But that's part of the argument he's making in the media, hoping to generate sympathy. --

Okay. That changes my reaction. By the time I'd made my first post to you (in response to you saying "idiotic" to "Using suppression of First Amendment rights...LOL!"), I'd seen and skimmed the complaint, and I mistook your remark as coming from a person who thought the lawsuit (not the spin to the press) was "using suppression of First Amendment rights."

I was merely trying to inform you - but now I understand there was no need to do so.

Looks like we’re on the same page, although I at first interpreted your “LOL” as an endorsement of the Donald’s legal acumen, as if he’d somehow devised some unassailable constitutional argument. Sorry about the misinterpretation, but around here, well...you know.

A man of action. He is right by his contract with them they are breaching. Trump is standing by his comments about Mexico, so unlike other politicians that cave on immigration Trump is standing by his words even if it costs him business deals.

That wasn't my LOL. I jumped into an exchange that started with magna carta's "Using suppression of First Amendment rights...LOL!," and your response being "Idiotic. There is no First Amendment issue here and it has nothing to do with this case."

I mistook your "has nothing to do with case" as coming from a belief that the case made a first amendment claim, but now I see that your remark can be taken as meaning "the case doesn't make a first amendment claim."

Yeah, I make many mistakes, including misattribution, misunderstanding, and often enough, plain rank stupidity. No need to apologize. Now that I know you look things up for yourself, and have at least a basic handle on the guts of lawsuits, I know you don't need any help from me!

He just interviewed with O’Reilly and doubled down. Did not change one word of what he said. He told O’Reilly NBC has a liberal bias and Meet the Press is a failing program. He bashed MSNBC and said conservative Republicans have to fight like he@@ and it is easy to be a Democrat. He said he could not talk about some things regarding his lawsuits but it will all come out soon.

It’s nice to see a Republican that’s willing to stand up to leftist thugs.

Trump wins even if he loses this case. He has cash to lawyer up...Univision doesn’t. I believe they will bend and fulfill the contract.

Business men do that. Most are located in large cities which are run by the Democrats. No question that it is “vigorish.” This is what it takes to run around mountains of red tape. Giving to Republicans has little potential award. But most give to Republicans as well.
