I kept hearing that he wouldn’t do it and that he’s all bluster, but it looks like Donald Trump has actually filed a lawsuit against Univision for breaking their contract to broadcast the Miss USA pageant after his comments about illegal aliens from Mexico.

Univision backed out of a contract to broadcast the Miss Universe Pageant, which Trump owns, after Trump made his comments about how he would build a wall on our Southern border if he became President. He also criticized the Mexican government in the same context. Univision was hoping to pressure Trump to soften his positions on these issues, by refusing to broadcast the pageant, which they apparently are contractually obliged to do.

Either Trump is campaigning to run the free world or he’s being a businessman. With this much at stake, he shouldn’t try to do both.
Should Senator Cruz stop being a Senator? Should Jindal stop being a Governor? I’m not sure I get your point.
Trump’s a business owner. His business hasn’t and can’t run itself. He’s got expertise I wish EVERY elected candidate had to have, as a requirement to “run the free world”.

When you are running for president there are enemies who do not like what you say if you are not PC. Since he is not being PC there are leftists who are causing him problmes. He is showing the way of fighting instead of rolling over and playing dead and he is defending his position. In order to become Pesident of the United States you must stand up for what you believe in and fight your enemies.

The Donald is finding out, if he didn't know already, that you can get away with a lot in today's culture... but running for high office as a Republican is just crossing the line.
What I said still stands. None of the causes of action depend on the first amendment.
He donated to the Clinton FOUNDATION. And that has a connection to the Univision owner.
Maybe greasing the skids to get the contract that Univision welched on.
Of course he’s suing. If indeed he has a 5 year unbreakable contract then Univision is screwed. Eff them.

I loathe Trump, but I hope he succeeds in this.
How can he possibly lose? How can they break a contract based on something Donald trump said in an interview which is factually true even if politically incorrect? Nothing illegal or immoral about being politically incorrect
What is hilarious is that the more the left kicks at him the more loud he gets about proving he is right and he is exposing both the left and the GOPe with every new conflict. Right now I picture them losing sleep over how to shut him up once and for all. They can’t use their big money to get rid of him because he has enough to counter them. They can’t succeed easily to paint him as they wish because most people know who he is so if they run ads on him like Romney did on our guys, it will not work as easily.
