Judge Matt Johnson of Wacos 54th State District Court has ruled to allow a Dallas attorney to obtain Twin Peaks surveillance video from the restaurant franchisee to help him prepare for an August hearing, but the judge placed a protective order on the video, preventing it from being released to the public.
The judge also placed a gag order on prosecutors and attorneys involved in the case, limiting both sides from discussing the case in the media.
Johnson said he is concerned about causing a problem with jury pools if the video is released.
Attorney Clint Broden, who obtained the subpoena, objected to the protective order on the video and the gag order and said he will appeal both decisions.

The answer will be telling. I remember reading in one of the more detailed reports that one of the Cossacks I think shot dead, was permitted and fully legal.
I also wonder ... how long ago were the prior arrests and convictions on some of those guys' records?
But what I really wonder is, how is it that a bunch of "professional" outlaw bikers bent on mayhem rumbled past six marked police cars at the entry to the parking lot only moments before they engaged in an armed and violent attack in broad daylight in a very public place where "everybody" was assembled? By wily biker bad-asses who supposedly strive to stay under the radar, hence their success as criminals?
When the dust cleared 48 hours later, at least 150 law-abiding citizens had seen their futures forever branded with a record of a serious arrest, plus their financial lives and reputations destroyed -- for legally, peacefully exercising their right of free association with fellow motorcycle enthusiasts and clubs.
Why, how, to what purpose, is separate from the fact that the above was the result of the event.
It looks like a set-up and double-cross to me, the double-crosser being the third criminal gang that shall remain unnamed.
So you are just talking out of your posterior then.
Quote from the article:
Former Supreme Court Justice (Louis) Brendeis may have said it best, your honor. Sunshine is the best disinfectant, Broden said.
So you admit that you never thought about it.
The question was, what do YOU think.
What else have you never bothered to come up with an actual thought about regarding this event?
You are admitting to having some sizable intellectual holes.
No I’m using reason and logic. If govt is hiding evidence they must be covering something up. I mean that’s what cops say all the time when they ask for permission to search. Innocent people have no reason to hide stuff...amirite?
You have no evidence at all, not a shred, yet you have publicly accused police of murder.
You are acting no different than the Trayvon worshippers.
” You know, when you have a witness the news fabulists @ The Washington Post having a conveniently anonymous sockpuppet saying an officer of the Bandidos shot him point blank, believing the news fabulists is probably not going to get you very far.
Notice that your use of “witness” was horribly inaccurate, Boogie. :)”
They cited a source that wished to remain anonymous. That is not an unusual practice in journalism. Certainly, that is cause to take the story with a grain of salt, but the story matches what is in the indictments, which is based on the videos, and there are no other witness reports yet available which contradict it.
So, based on that, we have no concrete reason to believe this statement is false. Simply dismissing the testimony out of hand because of the nature of the source isn’t sensible. It seems you do not like the story he is telling, because it contradicts your preconcieved notions, but that is not good enough reason to dismiss the source.
“Show me the autopsy wounds!”
You’ll see them, in good time, just like any other trial. I really can’t wait until that day when all the evidence comes out because I have a feeling a bunch of FReepers are going to be doing the backstroke at lightning speed.
“The question was, what do YOU think.”
No, that wasn’t the question, where did you get that notion?
**crickets** on the other dead guys, of course...
Sure, we do not know all the details yet. Just like in every other case, information comes out as the investigation and prosecution progress.
The details we DO have, however, all seem to tell the same story, and it isn’t lining up with the narrative of those who rushed to hysterical conclusions.
You're right. Why ARE you so hysterical about this?
I mean, the hoarse shouting and arm-waving over this anonymous guy "produced" by the WP fabulists, which looks like it's intended to distract the rest of us from the pile of bodies perforated by what is most likely .223 rifle fire.

Wow. Do you even read your own comments before you post?
Someone asked me for the witness’ statement that they had missed, and I provided them with the source link. That isn’t exactly “hoarse shouting and arm-waving”. The only hysterical reactions to this seem to be coming from you, who decided to jump on this as an opportunity to spout all sorts of random craziness.
Hey, I'm not the steely-eyed hysterical fanatic who seems to take any mild rebuttal as a personal affront and a personal attack which must be answered by a fountain of paragraphs which don't address the point.
Lighten up, Francis - you're going to wear out that keyboard hammering out the "TISN'T SO!!!" responses to people who just want to know why the polices can't share the perforation information or the videos with any of the peasantry.

Even your mischaracterizations of me are hysterical. It’s like you are describing yourself.

You’re the one who started posting to me, loonybin. I’ve just been replying to your repeated tirades. I can’t help it if you keep spouting nonsense that I have to refute. If you don’t like it, stop spouting nonsense.
You refute yourself, saving us the trouble.
You have an anonymous "witness" from the fabulists at the Post, and you refuse to address the police fusillade, instead, doing a little Boogie Side-Step to slide by it.
Your time is running out, apologist.
Nuff said. :)
You aren’t going to get anywhere with these people. They all know the police used UC players to start the gunfight from within (which would be a suicide mission) and then three of the 14 available cops shot the other 26 dead and wounded with 12 bullets. They read it on a blog by a biker so it must be true.
I've never subscribed to any of that.
I just want to know why the polices won't cough up the perforation information, and why they want a gag on the video.
If they haven't done anything wrong, what have they got to hide? To coin a phrase... LOL! :)
How about that 11 year old that was murdered by a Hells Angels car bomb?
Wrong, Bandit. Speaking for myself and probably for many others, I suspect that the police used UC players to provoke the fight. I suspect it as a result of CRITICAL THINKING applied in the context of available, confirmable facts. Such choreographing by LEO, using under-cover infiltrators and perhaps turned/"protected" informants, is in fact the ONLY theory to reasonably explain how such a fight started in such an environment by such bikers.
He did, for many years. He's a big guy, who loves to ride his motorcycle, and he looks just like any of the Twin Peaks arrestees, on the larger side. I also hear small comments about the way the LEOs look at the world from him.
There's not a whole lot of concern for most of the peasantry. :)
