Rush is right. Feds hide crime data.

In a recent posting I wanted to use federal data and include ILLEGAL alien crime but as a very informative study (Effects of Illegal Immigration Upon Crime In the United States) pointed out

"[T]he United States government does not readily keep statistics with regard to crimes committed by illegal immigrants. . . there exists a legal obligation [on federal agencies] . . . to report accurately [; e.g.,] the Office of Immigration Statistics, the Bureau of Justice Statistics, and the Government Accountability Office . . . the agencies [provide] raw statistical data with regard to incarcerations, criminal removals (deportations) and arrest information involving illegal immigrants [but as for data on] nationwide criminal prosecutions and convictions of illegal immigrants . . . no such information is kept and reported by the government . . . [in fact illegal alien crimes regularly result in] the criminal removal process rather than prosecuted with the intent to incarcerate them.

However the study did find that information about removal in lieu of prosecution and incarceration of illegal aliens can be seen in the

• Department of Homeland Security Office of Immigration Statistics’ Yearbook of Immigration Statistics and
• the Bureau of Justice Statistics’ Reports on Immigration Offenders in the Federal Criminal Justice System.

These provide raw statistical data because the statistics are broken down between criminal removals and non-criminal removals. Example: Table 41. ALIENS REMOVED BY CRIMINAL STATUS AND REGION AND COUNTRY OF NATIONALITY: FISCAL YEARS 2003 TO 2012

I believe that Ms Ann Coulter's latest book Adios, America digs deeper and finds more detail.

Maybe individual states track the crimes of ILLEGAL ALIENS. Do liberal pukes allow that?

In 2003, I sat on the jury of an illegal on trial for attempted murder. We were instructed to not take his illegal status into consideration when determining guilt.

I recall a similar experience several years ago. The accused was Hispanic and the charge was domestic violence. I had been reading that misdemeanors had become grounds for denying Second Amendment rights.

I told the court for that reason I could not vote to convict the accused.

The point I was trying to make was that it was wrong IMO for the law to go that far.

If they had told the court that he was "undocumented" (which I suspected he was) I would have had no problem convicting him.

The attorneys plea dealed to 1 year in prison. He gets out and kills her in a home robbery. I don’t know nor care what happened after that. She got what she deserved.

Especially after the past few...oh hell, might as well just call it decades, the only thing I’d accept coming out of Washington is mass resignations.
