Barack Obama and his party have made no secret of their desire to enact strict gun control legislation in America. Their efforts have been rebuffed so far by the American people and the Republican legislature. But that hasnt stopped them from plotting any number of ways to try to restrict gun ownership through regulatory, procedural, or executive actions.
Those efforts are bound to continue, especially now that the United States Supreme Court appears to be open to reaching decisions based on political considerations and public pressure, as opposed to basing their decisions solely on the U.S. Constitution.
What does all this mean for the millions of responsible gun owners in America? It could mean the eventual confiscation of entire classes of weapons by the federal government. But at least initially it will probably be more subtle, the first step of a slippery slope towards the outlawing of private gun ownership in the United States.

They’re getting damn close. I don’t fb but I know someone who does and all the twits that have rainbow ghosted their profile picture is ridiculous. I’d love to send each and everyone of them the un-edited photo essay that Zombie did of the Folsom street fair in san fran and see if they still “love” the gay lifestyle.
I was at two gun stores this last week and one has a range. Standing room only for the range and the stores were packed. So I watch people putting down from $400.00 to $2500.00 for new weapons so barkey and company can take them away. There is a fight coming and I don’t think it will work out for the FEDs.
An army of people who don't believe in RKBA going up against an army of people who do.
An army of people who are protecting their federal paycheck going up against an army of people who are protectiting themselves and their families from the cattle cars and chimneys they know are coming when their guns are taken away.
Can’t be a gun owner if you have no guns due to those boating accidents.
And there are pages and pages of federal immigration and naturalization laws which “Barky” swore to uphold, along with the Constitution, but he is simply ignoring them in issuing orders he bluntly admitted he had no authority to issue.
So yeah. What you said Steely Tom. But I would add after “A Court”: and president who can make law out of whole cloth” can redefine anything, ...”.
I can’t believe people think that nonsense is going to be of any value.
Let me add, and since he’s managed to stick two feathers in his gay hat recently, as well as ramming command socialized medicine down our throats, and it isn’t as if the GOP is opposing him, they helped him `fast track the Transpacific partnership, and their front-runner, the Jebster, is making gun control noises—why wouldn’t he think he could accomplish a little more perfidy in the time he has remaining?
“I suspect that is one line that America’s enemies cannot cross in the next thirty years, at least.”
I hope you’re right. My fear is that the powers behind the current administration are deliberately trying to incite armed rebellion by America’s patriots so that they can seize all firearms for the sake of “National Security”.
The first time I felt this was when monuments were closed to WWII veterans during the 2013 government shutdown but the National Mall was opened for an illegal immigration rally.
Look at the Rainbow projections on the White House this weekend. Over and over again we are being sneered at, dared to respond.
That was before Roberts was blackmailed. A revisit of this decision would go much differently now.
In Nazi Germany, they would come to pick up the registered firearm. If you 'lost it', they would take you, your wife, your daughter, and your son to prison with the threat that they would go to a labor camp indefinitely unless you produced it.
The way America is going, you think it would be any different here?
You're not getting it. The application of the same words totally differs, based on the politics. The gay wedding ruling will be used to force states to cancel concealed carry permits.
Love Col. West. But he knows as well as the rest of us that despite our desire to have nationwide carry affirmed, with all the evil in place now, I’m thinkin’, ain’t bloody likely. Basically from my point of view, the 2nd already gives us the freedom to carry nationwide. Alas, lots of state laws that infringe on that.
Us? We’re as innocent as little lambs.

When the time comes that you think you need to hide your guns, then that is the time when you need them in your hands.
Right - a twelve man swat team shows up at your house and you then .....
I don’t think the Court would accept a case on RKBA in the next year and a half. A challenge would have to work its way through the lower courts and I think that would take more than two or three years.

Well, if America comes to the point where Storm Troopers are enforcing the Will of a five Tyrants in Black Robes, it will probably be a good day to die.
I recall somebody once saying “give me Liberty or give me Death”.
Do the math. 80 million gun owners. 2 million military plus law enforcement. A 12man SWAT team. Do you think they will hit us all simultaneously? Do you think that some lame boating accident excuse will get them to say, “have a nice day. Sorry to have bothered you.”?
The time for boating accidents has passed.
