During the first six weeks of my freshman year, I attended no fewer than four "safe sex" seminars. I´ve watched a sex educator slip a blue condom onto a d**** before a room of 200 18-year-olds; witnessed a 30-minute fight between a student and a peer advisor over whether a nod counted as consent; and participated in a mock date proposal to practice how to politely turn someone down. ("No, thanks.") I´ve clicked and peer-discussed my way through myriad sexual scenarios, many of which explored the gray zone of drunken sexual encounters. What if it´s happening late in the afternoon

Sad, isn’t it?
I do think back to my college days, and I must say that there was a lot of sex obsession then—look, kids away from home for the first time, free from being under the eyes of mom and dad....it has been happening for generations.
The problem, methinks, is that now the establishment is encouraging the behaviour, and not trying to circumvent it or channel it into something else.
So you have lost souls being applauded by more lost souls.
Dangerous.
All that's changed is the attitude of the women toward hooking up, which has become identical to that of the men.
That's "equality," don't ya know.
We got a sex manual from the University as part of our Freshman registration packet. That was back in September, 1973, which was almost 42 years ago.
I remember it very well. I’d never seen anything like it. It was written by a guy named Saul Gordon, who was as much a wicked nutcase as was Alfred Kinsey.
Vive la ... um, sameness?
College? Teachers are pimping it in grade schools.
I guess.
“Vive la ... um, sameness?”
LOL!
You act like a whore, you get treated like a whore. What did you think would happen?
Nothing new. As a kid, I remember our neighbors daughter who went off to college.
Three months later she was home all knocked up. That was 1961.
Oh look. The internet never disappoints.
The sex book was by Sol Gordon, not Saul Gordon. And it was called “10 Heavy Facts About Sex.” You can google it.
Oh wow - heavy man!
“Although Dr. Gordon does not advocate teenage sex, he believes it is necessary to acknowledge the trend and to inform young people of the possible consequences.”
Boy - that book IS old (fashioned).
Expensive brainwashing camps. That’s what they have/are devolved into, many of them.
Do not tell me
I am the source
of your knock-up.

The ubiquitousness of pornography has changed things. It has to have. Males have always been horny, but now the girls can watch a zillion videos of other girls more or less their age doing it freely, willingly, and seemingly enjoying it. I don’t have any good data, but there must be somthing to it.
“all knocked up” as opposed to only partially knocked up? :=)
Suzy W. learns the hard way about what its like to be a slut. No one could see that coming.
Reason #8,792 why I don’t go to a public university.
Have parents not had to pay a plumber recently? Do they realize what those guys are pulling down these days? College is for chlamydia.
